Your reputation is built in moments nobody sees.

The athlete who becomes great isn’t always the most talented in the room.

They’re the one who:

✅ listens when coaches teach
✅ attacks every rep
✅ encourages their partner
✅ stays locked in when nobody is watching

Coaches talk. Teammates notice. Your habits create your identity.

Don’t chase opportunities.

Build yourself into someone opportunities chase.

The biggest mistake athletes make in the summer
 waiting.

They tell themselves they’ll lock in when the season gets closer.

But separation isn’t created when the lights come on.
It’s created when nobody is watching.

The work you do now becomes the confidence you have later.

Don’t wait for the season. Build for it. 🏆

đŸ“© DM “CONFIDENCE” if you’re ready for a plan heading into the season.

Happy 4th of July đŸ‡ș🇾

Freedom isn’t just fireworks, BBQs, or time off.

In wrestling, just like life
freedom is control.

Control of effort.
Control of emotions.
Control when pressure hits.

That’s what we train.

Enjoy today. Build the standard tomorrow.

Freezing isn’t a skill issue.

It’s a Mental Performance pattern.

When athletes compete not to lose, they hesitate.

When they compete to win, they attack.

That shift changes everything.

And it’s something that can be trained early.

DM “SUMMER” if your athlete struggles with this.

Where does your athlete struggle the most 👇

If your athlete has ever replayed a loss in their head
 this matters

Dear Parents & Coaches,

Youth sports today are not the same as they used to be.

An athlete can win a match

and it’s clipped, posted, and replayed.

They can lose a match

and it lives on a highlight page, in a group chat, or on their own phone.

Over and over again.

That didn’t exist before.

Today, pressure starts earlier.

Comparison starts earlier.
Expectations start earlier.

And most young athletes aren’t prepared for that yet.

At ages 8–10, we’re not fixing confidence.

We’re building it.

Because if they don’t learn how to handle pressure now, it shows up as:

Hesitation
Overthinking
Freezing in matches

This is where parents matter most.

You’re not just supporting their sport.

You’re helping insulate and prepare them for a completely different environment than we grew up in.

And that’s why mental performance training today isn’t optional.

It’s part of development.

This isn’t therapy.
It’s not motivation.

It’s training:

How to stay focused
How to reset
How to compete freely

So they can keep the sport fun, stay confident, and actually reach their potential later on.

Because too many athletes burn out or quit by 12–13.

Not from lack of ability.

From lack of tools.

This is where that changes.

DM “SUMMER” and I’ll send you the details.

Most youth wrestlers don’t lose because of technique

They lose because they don’t know how to respond when things get hard.

Last night at camp, that’s exactly what showed up:

Kids freezing under pressure
Stopping after the first failed shot
Losing position → and staying there

So we simplified it:

Reset.
Wrestle through the position.
Chain your attacks.

And everything changed.

More confidence.
More effort.
Less panic.

Parents and coaches — this is the gap right now.

You can drill moves all summer

But if your athlete can’t RESET under pressure, it won’t show up when it matters.

We’re entering the most important stretch of the year:

Summer → Fargo → Preseason

This is where separation happens.

The athletes who learn how to respond now

Are the ones winning later.

If your athlete struggles with confidence, composure, or shutting down mid-match

DM me “MINDSET”

I’ll show you exactly how we’re building this into young wrestlers right now.

Parents,

What you’re seeing in tough matches isn’t always about effort.

It’s fear.

False evidence appearing real.

One mistake happens and everything speeds up in their mind
“I’m losing”
“I’m tired”
“I can’t do this”

And now they’re reacting instead of wrestling.

That’s where discipline actually matters.

Not punishment.
Not yelling.
Not “be tougher.”

A system.

Something they can fall back on when things get chaotic.

Recognize. Reset. Refocus.
Red. Yellow. Green.

If they don’t have that, they’re guessing in the biggest moments.

The time will come when Winter will ask you what you were doing all Summer.” - Henry Clay (famous Statesman)

Winter champions are built in the summer.

This is separation season.
No shortcuts. No excuses.

If you’re not training your body AND your mind

you’re leaving wins on the table.

Comment “WORK” if you’re locked in.

Or DM me “MENTAL EDGE” if you want to train your mindset this summer.

The NCAA is shifting toward an age-based eligibility model.

And whether it’s fully finalized or still being refined
 the direction is clear:

Wrestlers are going to have less time to develop after high school before recruiting decisions are made.

That changes everything.

Because it’s no longer just:
“Can you become good someday?”

It becomes:
“Can you perform now under pressure?”

For wrestlers 16–18 years old, the window is tightening on:

* inconsistency
* emotional wrestling
* relying on late development

And expanding on:

* composure
* match control
* mental ex*****on when it matters

The gap in wrestling isn’t physical anymore.

It’s who can stay clear, controlled, and decisive in chaos.

If you want the system we use to build that DM “EDGE.”
