Final results from Weiser.
After a week at basketball camp, we changed clothes, grabbed the horses and headed to the Weiser Valley Roundup. After the first performance, Clara is in 2nd place and Cora is sitting in 5th. Whether in rodeo, basketball, or soccer, we simply love to compete!

We spent the week at NBC camp on the campus of NNU in Nampa this week. At the end of the week the coaches selected Cora for the “Shadow” award (Defensive Player of the Week) and Clara for the “Franchise” award (Offensive Player of the Week) for the Middle School Girls. Cora was also named to the Girl’s All-Star Team (High School and Middle School). Now it’s time to switch the sneakers for boots. We both are up in barrels at the Weiser Valley Rodeo tonight
Monday means it’s time to look at what’s inside EES l Complete Horse Nutrition without Compromise. Today we are going to talk about the most important nutrient, and one that actually isn’t in EES.: water. Water makes up about 70% of a horse’s body weight. It plays a critical role in helping transport nutrients through the bloodstream and into the cells. Water also helps carry waste products back out of the body via the urine. In horses, joint supplements are often discussed, and while molecules such as methylsulfonylmethane and hyaluronic acid ( stay tuned, we will discuss these more in the future) play critical roles in the joint, water helps to provide both cushion and lubrication. Water also helps cool the horse off through sweat and respiration. Electrolytes are regulated by water which helps control nerve signals and muscle function. Without water, EES won’t be able to help out your horse so make sure your horse has plenty of clean fresh water to drink.
Rough day at the barrel jackpot. Onto the Weiser Valley Roundup Thursday night

We have been to a lot of jackpots and rodeos the past few years competing alongside the Krebs. It was fun to see the top four times in the youth division being held by the Louder’s and Kreb’s
Clara took River back from Cora for the jackpot and didn’t miss a beat winning the open and youth. She also competed on her pony Beauty in the peewee division placing second overall winning the 2D. By the end of the night, she had won $395.
Have you ever looked at a supplement ingredient list and felt overwhelmed? EES l Complete Horse Nutrition without Compromise lists over 50 different ingredients on their label. Horses only need 6 basic nutrients: water, carbohydrates, fat, protein, vitamins, and minerals. But these nutrients can be further divided. Take for example protein. We often hear about crude protein, but in reality horses need the amino acids that protein is built from. Some amino acids can be built by the body, but others -referred to as essential amino acids- have to be consumed in the diet. Over the coming weeks, we will break down each ingredient in Extreme Equine Supplements to explain its role in the horse and why it is important to supplement it beyond the horses basal diet.
We’re cheering loud for Avery Painter in the Breakaway at the NJHFR short go tonight at the Lazy E
