Here are five prenatal yoga poses I recommend for moms preparing for a smooth, natural birth:
* Prayer squat (Malasana): Opens the hips and pelvis while strengthening the lower bodyâgreat for encouraging optimal baby positioning.
* Wide-legged forward fold (Prasarita Padottanasana): Gently stretches the hamstrings and lower back while relieving tension and promoting circulation.
* Cat-Cow stretch: Supports spinal flexibility, eases back discomfort, and helps create space in the belly for baby.
* Butterfly pose (Baddha Konasana): Opens the hips and inner thighs, improving flexibility in the pelvic region.
* Childâs pose (Balasana): Encourages relaxation, relieves lower back pressure, and provides a calming rest position during pregnancy.
