Cupping Therapy & Health Coaching... Creating stronger bodies & stronger communities.

09/01/2026

Had a cancellation this morning and I thank the most high every day that I get to be self employed in this lifetime where I can take advantage of knowing every passing day is one day closer to colder temps here. Blessed and grateful is an understatement. šŸ™

No dolphins or gators here… but also no flesh-eating bacteria. If you know me, you know I stay focused on the silver linings lol.

This kind of feedback means a lot to me.

I put a lot of care into meeting people where they are, paying attention to what their body is actually telling me, and making the work useful beyond the session itself.

Very grateful for the trust.

Two years ago I got the opportunity to offer bodywork at a Tony Robbins event. I didn’t meet him, but I still learned a lot just talking with and observing other entrepreneurial guests.

This past weekend I worked an event also, and even though that event wasn’t quite what I was hoping for… it did help me reflect and see that damn… I really have been doing what I do a long time now and know a thing or two when it comes to organizing, running, and/or participating in large, busy (and loud!) events as a bodywork vendor. I was happy to still offer a lot of insight to the therapists I was working along side with, as it was their first major event.

A couple months after the Tony Robbins event I released my first ebook on mold illness awareness, just after Hurricane Helene came through and even wiped out Asheville 250+ miles inland (Visiting there last summer on my way up to Virginia was interesting)… but unfortunately I found out where I was living at the time ALSO had mold… and it just felt like this never ending nightmare.

I’m technically still not in the clear yet as my grandma’s place has it too. But damn… compared to the roller coaster I’ve been on since fall of 2023… I stay counting my blessings.

Anyway, this was an interesting memory to see pop up. And I’m so thankful for my friends at Cupping Canada | Cupping Education & Supplies Cupping USA for letting me stay at their place that weekend. Miss those days haha.

But also… knowing what my body has been through over the years (combined with helping my mobility-challenged grandma these last two summers) makes me appreciate my increasing mobility THAT much more… Along with helping people who’ve also been through the ringer learn to have more faith in their bodies again. I’m really looking forward to the ways I’m pivoting my practice into next year. šŸ™

Never in my life did I ever aspire to be a bodyworker growing up but… ā€œGod works in mysterious ways,ā€ as they say. šŸ’«

Practitioner appreciation post. 🫶

One thing I’m prioritizing while in NoVA is getting right with my body/health/expanding my internal capacity for all the external things I want to make room for and call into my life.

I have seen both Dr. Amaya of Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy I Sterling, VA (who I sadly don’t have a picture of yet… but just wait 🫶 lol) and Dr. Alexandra ThaĆs, DC of Connect First Family Chiropractic just a couple times so far and I am already feeling like I’m in a different body.

Their care and treatment are unlike any bodywork/health practice I’ve experienced before and if you know me, you know I’m big on women supporting women… I really can’t say enough good things about these amazing women and how smart and caring they are.

If you’re in NoVA and want to improve your posture, core, pelvic floor, nervous system capacity, burnout, ADHD, or countless other things they’re able to support you with… definitely check them out.

One thing that really stood out in my session with Dr. Alexandra was when she practiced with me and I couldn’t help but laugh when she came across a particular affirmation for me that happened to be some of the exact wording I used when I wrote on the lantern in DC the night before. The universe is funny like that I guess… but I took it as a sign I’m on the right track. šŸ˜‰

It was also endearing during my initial scans when she said even though I have lots of room for progress, that she could tell I have been doing a lot of healing work over the last couple years and it has been neat to see that proof from scientific scans, rather than just how I feel in my own body alone.

This isn’t even my final form… but ultimately a goal of mine this year is to return to Florida as the best (ever evolving) version of my Self yet. Grateful for the villages I find myself a part of wherever I go. šŸ™

I stopped promoting my book because it got so depressing to keep talking about… but I’m still in the process of having it turned into paperback because the issue sure ain’t goin’ anywhere.

A new study suggests the threat of mold-associated illnesses may be severely underestimated. DETAILSā¬‡ļø
