Where amateur players belong.

Merry Christmas from our family to all of our PHAT Family
National Player of the Year has been broken for a long time.
Most amateur tours reward opportunity, not performance:
• Bigger chapters
• More events
• Uneven competition
That ends in 2026.
PHAT rebuilt National Player of the Year from the ground up with one simple principle:
How well you play should matter more than where you play.
Introducing the National Performance Index — a system built on score differentials, course difficulty, and true competitive balance within each division.
This puts every chapter on a level playing field
And crowns the rightful National Player of the Year.
This is how it should’ve always been done.
🔥 2026 is different — by design. 🔥
Over the past two seasons, PHAT tested, studied, and listened.
Some systems worked.
Some didn’t.
So we rebuilt them — the right way.
The 2026 rule changes aren’t about limiting opportunity.
They’re about protecting the field, creating true competitive balance, and ensuring that National Player of the Year is earned — not influenced by chapter size or geography.
This is amateur golf done with integrity.
This is PHAT evolving.
2026 — The new era begins with PHAT.

At PHAT, tee box yardages are not arbitrary — they are intentional, fair, and designed to protect the field.
We establish baseline yardage guidelines by division and age category to promote competitive balance, safety, and pace of play.
Because every course is different, not all courses can accommodate exact yardages — but these guidelines drive our tournament setups.
MEN
• D1 (Scratch – 4.9): ~6,500 yards
• D2–D3: 6,100 – 6,400 yards
• D4–D5: 5,600 – 6,100 yards
SENIORS
• D1: 6,100 – 6,400 yards
• D2–D3: 5,700 – 6,000 yards
• D4–D5: 5,400 – 5,700 yards
SUPER SENIORS
• D1: 5,800 – 6,100 yards
• D2–D3: 5,400 – 5,700 yards
• D4–D5: 5,000 – 5,400 yards
These yardages are part of how PHAT:
✔ Protects the field
✔ Promotes fair competition
✔ Improves pace of play
✔ Respects player longevity and health
Tee boxes are assigned according to PHAT rules and tournament setup — not personal preference.
This is tournament golf built on integrity.
