Asheville Weekend (9/19 - 9/20)

The girls put on a powerhouse performance playing 5 games this weekend, outscoring opponents 54 runs to 17, racking up 54 RBIs, and 7 home runs going 5-0. Seeded #1 in the Gold Bracket.
The bats struggled at times, with new bats, broken bats, bat tape, older bats, the team kept that grit attitude combined with epic base running—and NOT STOPPING, even with a coach giving signs 🤣

* Fraley
* Pyles
* Morton

Every single player showed up and left it all on the field:
* Tester: Sopping up plays like a vacuum out in left field, even making a diving catch!
* Fraley: A total tagging machine over at 3rd base.
* Williams: Making plays happen with perfect throws from short.
* Morton: Picking up loose balls twice with throws to 3rd for tagging outs, also making a out as Catcher.
* Abernathy: The ultimate first-base backup, always in position and there at all times.
* Ross: Playing utility, Making plays and acting as the team's ultimate hype woman!
* Pyles: Holding down the pitcher's circle even taking a hard line drive to the shin.
* Bogart: 2nd base and Outfield making plays
* Shaver: Catching machine over at 1st base.
* Avins: Catcher and fighting through the heat all weekend long.
* Barbee: Stepping up as a dependable backup for everyone, showing incredible dedication even while feeling under the weather.

GOLD BRACKET CHAMPS
Game Recap will come tomorrow!

I honestly can’t put into words what this weekend meant. When you pray about something and God leads you into a decision, you have to trust Him. Being a coach was never the goal, but here we are!

God gave us these girls. He gave us these families. And that’s just it… we are ONE big family.

This weekend, the Bombers took on Asheville, and yes, we played ball—but it was so much more than softball.

Pool fun. Pizza parties. NEX Play. Hotel lobby chaos. Parents hanging out. Late-night PJs, feral siblings running. Memories our girls will carry long after the tournament is over.

And then there was the ball.

Our girls gave EVERYTHING they had and left it on that field. They battled through food illness, broken bats, getting hit, long travel, exhaustion, waves of heat, and tough competition. And through it all, they showed up and SHOWED OUT going 5-0!

We truly couldn’t ask for better girls or better families.Thank you, Shelly for having us. Thank you to the umpires who supported our girls, witnessed and held prayer, and the tough teams who stepped on the field and competed with us. Those battles are what make us better.

This weekend reminded us that we’re building something bigger than a softball team.
We’re building a family.
The Bombers are just getting started.

Game 1: Won 7-3
Game 2: Won 13-0
Game 3: Won 12-6

To our girls,

We cannot begin to express how proud we are of you. You all are truly putting in the work & IT SHOWS! 🩷

GAME DAY READY — WEEK 3

SHOW UP. STAND OUT. MAKE A NAME FOR YOURSELF.

Today we're loading up and heading to Asheville!
Three hours down the road. Two days of softball.
But before we get there, I want you to remember something:

YOU'VE ALREADY PUT IN THE WORK.
That work comes with you to Asheville.
You don't have to be perfect.
You don't have to prove that you're better than anybody else.

Just SHOW UP.
Show up ready.
Show up confident.
Show up with a good attitude.
Show up ready to give your very best.

And then... STAND OUT SO
They can see Jesus in you.

Girls, this weekend you have an opportunity to make a name for yourself.
But remember...
The name you make isn't just about softball.
Make a name for yourself as the girl who NEVER gives up.

And most importantly...

The girl who lets her light shine for Jesus.

You may be eight years old, but you can make a BIG impact wherever you go.

So when you step onto that field in Asheville, don't wonder if you're good enough, KNOW YOU ARE!

💣 2ND TOURNAMENT RECAP — 9/12/26 💣
Gold Bracket Runner-Ups

We went 2-0 in pool play with wins over a tough Team NC Griffin, 11-8, and CSC Prospects, 12-2!
Home Runs: Ali Pyles, Maezy Morton, Eva Ross

Seeded 2nd in Gold Bracket

We faced Bandits NC Grey, a new team with A LOT of heart. Won 12-0
Then, with NO BREAK, we turned right around and played for the championship.

The gas light was definitely blinking at that point! Our girls were tired. The bats were there, but continued fielding errors gave them the win.

Top Gun Sports — Thank you for the amazing umpires! They bring the fun to our girls and let us heckled them for a laugh! It wouldn't be complete without our girls sharing snacks, getting hugs and laughs with them.

💣 GAME DAY READY DEVOTION — WEEK 2 💣

THE WORK YOU PUT IN

Good morning, Bombers!

Before you step onto that softball field today, I want you to stop and think about something...

LOOK HOW FAR YOU'VE COME.

You didn't just wake up one morning and become softball players.

You SHOWED UP. You WORKED. You GRINDED.

You practiced when you were tired.
You kept trying when something was hard.
You learned from your mistakes.
You listened to your coaches.
You encouraged each other.
And you kept coming back ready to get better.

THAT WORK MATTERS.

God sees the work that nobody else sees.
He sees you practicing that swing again and again.
He sees you running when your legs are tired.
He sees you trying that play one more time because you want to get better.

YOUR WORTH IS NOT FOUND IN A SCOREBOARD.

You are not worth more because you hit a home run.
You are not worth less because you strike out.
You are not worth more because you make the winning play.
And you are NEVER worth less because you make a mistake.
Your worth comes from God. ❤️

You were created by Him. You are loved by Him. You are valuable to Him.

So today, don't step onto that field trying to PROVE that you're good enough.

STEP ON THAT FIELD KNOWING YOU ARE ALREADY LOVED AND VALUED.

WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!
