Well in true NP JR HIGH fashion our last get together on the field was ruined because of rain so we ended the year with some pizza and hardcore dodgeball in the gym. Thank you to the girls for showing up everyday and working hard. Each and every one of you showed improvement. Thank you for being good teammates. And thank you to the parents for getting them to and from everywhere they needed to be. We’re sad to see our 8th graders move up but excited for the next class to keep moving through the ranks. Here’s to next year !

We had some fun before one of our last inter squad scrimmages today. These girls worked hard all season long and the results started to build up. Most importantly, they were great teammates !

Our 9th win of the season came in an 11-0 win over Delaware Valley. Addie Washko, Serena Lesh, McKinley Washko and Molly Loringer chipped in with hits. The big story was Gemma Kuzmak and Reagan West combining for the 1 hit shutout within 9 Ks and only 1 walk. Nice work in the circle ladies ! Next up is Abington on Friday at Hillside Park

Win #8 over Honesdale today. McKinley Washko started the game in the circle going 3 innings and allowing 1 hit and 1 run while striking out 5. She also went 2-3 at the plate with 2 RBI. Serena Lesh and Reagan West went 3-3 each. Serena added 4 RBI. Addie Washko and Ashy DeLucy added another 2 hits a piece while Liv Tanfield, Molly Loringer, and Zada Zurcher added 1 hit each. Next up is Delaware Valley on Tuesday.

The Lady Trojans move to 7-3 on the season beating an undefeated Holy Cross Jr High team 13-5 that averaged 15 runs a game coming into today. The bats were on fire for the offense racking up 19 total team hits. Addie Washko, Kennedy Berry and Liv Tanfield each had 3 hits and 2 RBI. Reagan West, McKinley Washko, Gemma Kuzmak, and Ashy DeLucy each had 2 hits. Serena Lesh and Molly Loringer had one hit each. Molly did a great job out of the 9 spot moving runners with 3 sacrifice bunts. Ashy had another solid complete game giving up just 2 earned runs.

Dingman kicked our butts last time. Not today. Got the W in an 8-3 win. Addie Washko led the way going 4-4 at the plate with 2 OTF HRs, a double, 3 runs and 3 RBI. Kennedy Berry, Reagan West and Gemma Kuzmak had 2 hits. Ashy DeLucy kicked in another hit and RBI to help another solid effort in the circle. Ashy went the complete game allowing 5 hits, 3 runs, and striking out 11. Next up, Holy Cross on Monday at St. Anthony’s.
