MNDBC aspires to be the flagship dragon boat club in Minnesota, fostering community, compassion, challenge, and competition through sport and teamwork.
Founded 2019. The Minnesota Dragon Boat Club, a Minnesota-based not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization, is the brainchild of a group of women who saw a place for more opportunities to engage in this sport in the greater Twin Cities area while at the same time supporting cancer survivors and those touched by cancer through the camaraderie and connection a team sport can provide. Hooray! Our Minnesota Dragonboat Club crews showed up STRONG at this weekend’s Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival! 🐉💪
🥉 North Star Surge — 3rd Overall + BRONZE MEDAL!
💙 Explosive Blue — 8th Overall
💚 Emerald Green — 10th Overall
That means ALL THREE MNDBC TEAMS finished in the TOP 10! 🤯🔥 Now THAT’S a weekend worth celebrating!
And we’re not done… 🌙✨ A huge congrats to everyone who raced in Friday night’s Glow Race, where MNDBC took 2nd place! 🥈💥
So much hard work, teamwork and heart went into these races. Huge THANK YOU to our coaches, festival leads, event organizers and volunteers. 🙌❤️ It truly takes a village to pull off these incredible festivals, and we’re grateful for every person who helps make it happen.

A huge congratulations to our EMERALD GREEN and EXPLOSIVE BLUE teams for an incredible tournament!
💥 EXPLOSIVE BLUE finished 12th overall with a combined time of 4:21.43.
💚 EMERALD GREEN finished 19th overall with a combined time of 4:26.74.
Every race challenged us. Every finish line made us stronger. Every paddler gave it their all, and that’s something to be proud of. 💪🐉
