Half-dead Handiwork

Last one from the workbench for a while! Ever thought leather could look like metal? This was a blast!

Complete with double-gilt lines and tooled cover, this one is truly one of a kind. Featured leather is Bisanzio cowhide from the Conceria Puccini Tannery in Tuscany, Italy. Bisanzio achieves its uniqueness from its the rustic metallic look that has an amazing contrast when light hits it!

One of the last beauties I got to take care of before some time off from surgery! This one is strong from its finer details to its feel in hand. Are those scratches supposed to be there?

They are! Badalassi “Ecbatana Lux” is a leather produced by the famous Tannery Badalassi Carlo. It is characterized by a unique surface worked by hand so each skin is different from the other.

My friend Bryson entrusted me with this new ESV journaling bible and cut me loose saying he was a fan of purple and green. The rest was history! This is certainly the most non-traditional rebind I’ve done, but also one of the coolest!

This one was a big one but man it came out great! This waxy cowhide came out clean especially with the custom embossing. Our signature spine really popped on this as well!

One of my favorites thus far delivered on the Fourth of July! The plain stamping on this came out so clean with this leather’s oil. Not to mention the beautiful embossing!
