The Kemah Police Department has officially sworn in Officer Jordan "Tiny" Wilmore, a 7-foot-3 rookie believed to be the tallest police officer in Texas.

Wilmore came within one point of achieving his dream before failing the state licensing exam. After hearing his story, Shaquille O'Neal paid his living expenses for five months so he could stop working a second job and focus on passing the test. Wilmore returned, passed the exam, and has now officially earned his badge as a Kemah police officer.

Turkey bans American cruise ship carrying LGBTQI+ passengers from docking in the country.

The cruise ship, carrying more than 2,000 LGBTQI+ passengers, was denied permission to dock after Turkish authorities said the passengers' behavior "does not align with the country's moral values."

The machine displayed a winning ticket for $42,949,672.76, and people watched as Katrina Bookman celebrated what looked like the biggest win of her life.

But the celebration didn't last.

The casino later claimed the slot machine had malfunctioned, arguing that the jackpot was the result of a machine error rather than a legitimate win. Instead of paying the nearly $43 million, Bookman says she was offered a steak dinner and just $2.25.
