Me and my son were out cruising the city and decided to stop by B.j. Chester-Tamayo for some good ole soul food. While we were there, we ran into a Memphis legend — Mr. Fred Jones, founder of the Southern Heritage Classic.

What started in 1990 has grown into one of the biggest HBCU football classics and cultural events in the country, bringing generations together through football, family, and tradition.

Now the countdown is on for the 37th Southern Heritage Classic.
