Things are about to get moving again.
Next up:
β’ More Chemo (βHealing Juiceβ)
β’ More Tests
β’ Bone Marrow Transplant Preparation
Next week Brittnye starts another round of Healing Juice and another week in the hospital. This could be her last round before the bone marrow transplant.
We also got a call from Sara Cannon Center who will be doing the transplant. We have a lot of testing scheduled on August 20th and August 25th to make sure sheβs cleared and ready for transplant.
After that, weβll begin the bone marrow transplant process.
That means moving to Nashville for more than 100 days and staying at the Hope Lodge directly across from the hospital.
If weβre being honest, this is the part weβve been preparing forβ¦ and the part that scares us the most.
Weβve been told the first 30 days after transplant are the most critical, so weβre asking for your prayers more than ever for Brittnye, for me, and for our families. We know there will be difficult days ahead, but we also know we wonβt face them alone.
After those first 30 days, weβll remain in Nashville for another 70 days while she continues to be monitored and tested regularly.
The next several months will bring every emotion imaginable, but weβre going to approach them the same way weβve approached every day since this journey began:
β’ One day at a time.
β’ Smile on the good days and the hard days.
β’ Dance whenever she has the energy.
β’ Never let go of each otherβs hand.
There are still a lot of unknowns aheadβ¦
But one thing has never changed.
WE WILL WIN.
