I saw a fitness influencer talking about how this exercise is insane for your glutes, so I thought I’d give it a try. Here’s what I found:
1) If you train glutes a lot, you’ll barely feel the hip thrust part of this exercise because you are used to doing hip thrusts with weight.
2) This exercise looks impressive to passers by. A guy actually said “damn” as he walked by while I did these.
3) The lat-to-contralateral-glute appeal of this exercise makes sense, since both are working, but a cable reach and pull is a more accessible exercise for several reasons.
