Another softball weekend in the books and it was filled with college softball watching, Florida humidity, rain, a birthday celebration, and plenty of tough competition on the fields.

On Saturday, the team spent 11 hours at the fields playing three 90 minute games, with two stretching close to 2 hours. They finished the day 1–2. Sunday was a one and done day, with lots of rain moving in at the end.

They faced some talented teams throughout the weekend, and even though the scoreboard tells one outcome, it doesn’t show the growth, effort, and experience they gained along the way. Each game was an opportunity to see new things, learn, and improve, and no matter what the games threw at them, they stayed focused, had great attitudes, and never quit. I’m super proud of each and every one of these girls!

Now to get ready for the USSSA Florida State Championship in a couple of weeks! 🥎❤️🖤🧨

Tough competition in Leesburg at the Florida PGF Summer States Tournament this weekend! These are the kinds of games that challenge you, push you, and help you grow. Excited to get on the field and see where the weekend takes us!🧨🥎❤️🖤

What an exciting Saturday and Sunday at the fields! The girls competed hard from start to finish against some very strong teams.

Saturday, they went 2-1 earning the #2 seed going into Sunday. On Sunday, they battled to the championship game, where after a hard fought game, came up short. I couldn’t be more proud with how they played no matter the wins or losses!

The weekend was a great example of perseverance and team softball. The girls brought nonstop energy every inning and showed great softball IQ with their baserunning, situational hitting, and heads-up defensive plays throughout the tournament. It was a true team effort from everyone on the roster.

The fight, focus, attitudes and teamwork this group showed all weekend long was awesome! And ending the weekend with some well-earned milkshakes made it even better! 🥎🥤🧨

Now back to work we go!

After having girls out or injured the last couple tournaments, we’re excited to have the full team back together for this weekend’s USSSA Party in Seminole 🎉
