Inner vows don't always sound unhealthy.

Sometimes they sound like boundaries.
They sound like excellence.
They sound like independence.
They even sound spiritual.

That's why we need the Holy Spirit.

He can help us discern the difference between a healthy decision made from wisdom and a binding decision made from fear, pain, or judgment.

The goal isn't to become suspicious of every decision you’ve made.

It's to give Jesus permission to show you anything that's keeping your heart from living freely.

Comment FREEDOM and I'll send you my free Inner Vows guide.

Often independence is healthy.
But sometimes independence is disappointment wearing armor.

The question is not, “Am I capable?”
The question is, “Have I made capability my only place of safety?”
Really think about that.

You can be strong and still receive support.
You can be wise and still need community.

When your independence becomes safety, you have to pause ans ask, "why?"

You can lead and still allow Jesus to care for your heart.

An inner vow is more than a passing thought.
It's a heart-level agreement that can become a rule for how you live.

The difficult part is that while inner vows often sound responsible, strong, or wise; underneath them there may be fear, rejection, judgment, disappointment, or a deep need to feel safe.

Awareness is not condemnation. It's an invitation and the first step to breaking free.

When Jesus reveals what's been influencing your heart, He's not exposing you to shame you. He's bringing it into the light so He can lead you into freedom.

You may have called it strength, independence, or even wisdom.

But is it possible that you made a promise because you were hurting?

Inner vows often protect us for a season, but eventually that protection can become a prison.

Comment FREEDOM and I’ll send you my guide to help you begin recognizing the vows that may be influencing your life.

Whew!!

Some of the decisions that helped you survive a painful season may now be limiting your ability to receive love, trust God, build healthy relationships, and walk freely into your future.

Tomorrow, we begin uncovering The Promises You Made in Pain.

You were never meant to carry every disappointment, question, wound, and responsibility by yourself.

Some things have lived in your heart for so long that carrying them has started to feel normal. But Jesus is not asking you to hide the weight, manage it better, or pretend it doesn’t hurt.

He is inviting you to bring it to Him.

There's freedom in allowing Jesus into the places you’ve been protecting, avoiding, or quietly holding together. Your heart deserves a safe place to breathe, release, and receive His truth.

You don’t have to carry everything in your heart alone. Your heart is welcome here. 🩷

Clarity doesn’t come because you try harder.
Often it comes when you finally make space.

Space to lay down the weights you’ve been carrying.

Space to quiet the pressure, the expectations, and the need to figure everything out.

Space to receive the direction your heart has been asking for.

Space to focus on Jesus again.

In a Prophetic Heart Healing session, we create a safe, prayerful space for you to meet with Jesus and allow Him to speak to the places in your heart that feel heavy, confused, weary, or stuck.

You don't have to carry it alone.

Sometimes the next step isn’t doing more.
Sometimes the next step is making space.

Your heart is welcome here.

You’re called to obey God, not to control the outcome.

We often take the step God asked of us—then pick up pressure to make everything work.

But the timing, results, and responses belong to Him!

Your part is faithfulness; His part is the outcome.

Release what isn’t yours to carry and trust God to be God.

If this is something you struggle with, DM RELEASE and I'll share more on how we can help you let go.

07/16/2026

Letting go isn’t about weakness — it’s about trusting God with what you can’t control.

We often keep carrying burdens out of fear: fear things will fall apart, fear of disappointing others, fear of not being the strong one.

But the real question is whether we believe God can handle what we release.

Caring is obedience; controlling is trying to be God.

Today, ask Jesus what fear is keeping you from putting the weight down.

And let Him remind you that what you place in His hands is safer than when you carry it alone.
