🎯 What a season for the MHS Clay Target Team!
Hailey shot an impressive 94/100 and Harvey wrapped up today with a strong 91/100. In Manhattan High’s very first year as a team, our shooters earned their spot in the national finals — a huge accomplishment they should all be incredibly proud of.
Today’s competition was tough, with several perfect 100s on the range, but our athletes showed heart and represented MHS with excellence. A massive thank you to Coach John Miesner for his incredible dedication in building the Clay Target Team from the ground up.
We couldn’t have done it without our amazing sponsors and supportive parents. This has been a successful first season, and we’re already excited to come back stronger next year!

Good luck to Harvey and Hailey this afternoon where they will compete with another 402 shooters for the championship. Hailey is a senior and Harvey a junior and It’s their second time attending nationals and first time qualifying in individuals. Let’s go!!!🎯💪🏻

Individual competition just commenced and we have two shooters moving on to the finals!! Out of 1752 shooters Harvey Lister placed 22 with a score of 99 and Hailey Honeycutt placed 384 with a score of 95. We had some great shooting both days with a few straights runs.

So MHS Clay Target Team has 3, maybe 4 in the running for the USA High School Clay Target League National Championship after the morning session. We have a 49, 48, 48, 46, 44, and 40. Good luck on the next 50 shooters!!

Our shooters had a little rough start with the team qualifier yesterday. Big improvements were made in the afternoon with Trevin shooting 50 straight!!
