The newly minted 11U Mambas showed some serious fight today, turning a four-run deficit into a convincing 12–5 victory over Berks County.

Malvern entered the fifth inning trailing 5–1 before the offense absolutely erupted. The Mambas pushed 11 runs across in the fifth, completely flipping the game and taking a 12–5 lead they wouldn’t give back.

Chase Buchanan picked up the win on the mound, battling through four innings before JD Flannery came in and tossed a scoreless final frame. Despite allowing five runs, none of Berks County’s runs were earned.

At the plate, Jake Daddona led the way with two hits, while Buchanan and Jay Henderson each delivered doubles. Buchanan drove in three, Henderson knocked in two, and the Mambas created havoc on the bases with nine stolen bases.

A great comeback and a huge inning from the 11U boys to finish off a 12–5 Mambas win!

Mambas 13U go 2-0 to start the Mid Atlantic Warriors Fall Tune Up! 🐍🔥

The 13u Mambas opened the fall season with two big wins, taking down NP Cannoneers 9-7 and a 6-2 victory over Warehouse 13U Black.

Two games. Two wins. Great pitching, timely hitting, and strong defense.

Back at it tomorrow for bracket play!

The newly minted 11U Malvern Mambas opened their Fall season with a strong showing in pool play at the Lenz Newtown Funk Tournament, finishing 1-0-1.

On Friday night, the Mambas went toe-to-toe with a very strong Newtown Edgmont (NELL) squad and came away with a 4-4 tie. Malvern had NELL on the ropes early, jumping out to a 3-1 lead after two innings and holding a 4-2 advantage after four. NELL battled back with single runs in the fifth and sixth to even things up.

Finley Curtiss went the distance on the mound against a tough NELL lineup. Curtiss threw all 6 innings, allowing four runs while walking just one and striking out seven.

The bats exploded today against the Urban Legends. The Mambas scored six in the first and 11 in the second on the way to an 18-3 victory.

It was a true team effort offensively. Reece Morrison, Smith Shover, Duke Fifer and Chase Buchanan each had two hits, while Morrison, Shover and Trey Culbertson each drove in two. Alex Kadjeski drove in three, and Gavin Nagy added a triple and scored three times. Kadjeski, Jack Flannery and Shover all doubled.

On the mound, Trey Culbertson tossed two scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out three before Boden Gordon closed it out with three strikeouts of his own.

MINI NO MORE… MIGHTY MAMBAS!

The 9U Mambas came out swinging to open their first weekend playing up at 9U, going 2-0 on Saturday with a pair of big wins!

The Mambas opened the day with a dominant 17-2 win over the EOM Angels, putting up 8 runs in the first and 9 more in the second. Liam Carey led the offense with two doubles and 3 RBIs, while Nolan Culbertson, Alex Lohmeyer and Nate Casselli each drove in two. On the mound, Liam was outstanding, allowing just 1 hit over 2 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts. The pitching staff combined for 7 Ks and no earned runs. Asher Miley with a big day at plate and incredible on defense.

Game two required a comeback. Trailing USA Prime 2-1 entering the bottom of the fourth, the Mambas exploded for 10 runs and never looked back, earning a 13-5 victory. Nate went 2-for-3 with a double, 2 runs and an RBI, while Liam and Gabe Kunze each added two hits. Beau Shover and Alex knocked in two apiece.

Ben Shipley delivered a huge performance on the mound, tossing 2 scoreless innings, allowing just 1 hit and striking out 4. The Mambas pitching staff finished the game with 9 strikeouts.

A pretty impressive first Saturday as 9U Mambas. Good luck tomorrow in the knockout rounds.

🔥Malvern Mambas 13U 7, Ascent Athlete Black 2!

The next chapter has begun!

In their first game on the big field at Monument, the Mambas battled back after falling behind 2-1, exploding for 5 runs in the bottom of the fourth to take control and never look back!

💥 Offensive Highlights
• Thomas Fillippo and Ben Casselli led the team with 2 hits each
• Harrison Fisher, Liam Vogt, Liam Robins, Jason Scholz, Thomas Fillippo, Ben Casselli, & Jackson Nagy each drove in a run
• Thomas and Johnny stole multiple bases
• Liam Vogt came through with a big RBI single

On the mound Jackson earned the win, striking out 1 and allowing just 2 runs over 2 innings. Harrison and Benjamin came in with strong relief appearances to shut the door.

Great team win! 7-2!

⚾️ THAT’S A WRAP, MAMBAS. 🐍

The Malvern Mambas 12U officially wrapped up their season this weekend at Ripken. While it wasn’t the outcome they wanted, there’s truly no better place to close out a season than at Ripken.

A few weekend highlights:
🔥 Ben Casselli — led the team in hits
⚡️ Thomas Fillippo — led the team in stolen bases
💪 Jackson Nagy — led the team in strikeouts on the mound

But one of the biggest takeaways from the weekend had nothing to do with the scoreboard.

We had the privilege to go up against Xavier Taylor’s Maple Shade team and seeing the friendships, respect, and camaraderie between these kids was a reminder that there is so much more to this game than what happens between the lines.

A season full of challenges, growth, laughter, and some incredible baseball.

One chapter closes. The next one begins.

13U MAMBAS GO 2-1 AT RIPKEN SLUGFEST

A strong weekend in Aberdeen for the 13U Malvern Mambas, who went 2-1 at the Ripken Slugfest Tournament, scoring 29 runs over three games and finishing things off with a great comeback win Sunday morning.

The Mambas opened Saturday with a 13-7 win over New Paltz. Sully Powell went 2-for-2 with a double and 4 RBI, while Evan Voshell was a perfect 3-for-3 with 2 RBI. Luke Diamond added a triple and drove in three, and Ryan Fox doubled and knocked in two. On the mound, Grady Fifer closed things out with two scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and no walks.

In Saturday’s second game, the Mambas were close late but ultimately fell 14-7 to Jersey City, but the bats continued to produce with 12 hits. Fox went 2-for-3, and Wes Cole went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI.

The boys came back Sunday morning ready to battle against Wow Factor. After falling behind 7-3, the Mambas refused to go away, scoring six unanswered runs to storm back for a 9-7 victory and finish the weekend on a high note.

Brady Sobuto had a huge game, going 2-for-2 with a triple and 3 RBI while also earning the win on the mound. Powell added two hits, including a triple, and scored three times, while Fox drove in two. Ollie McLoughlin took over on the mound late and slammed the door, throwing 1⅔ scoreless innings without issuing a walk.

Over the three games, the Mambas finished with 29 runs and 26 hits. Powell led the way with 5 hits and 4 RBI, Fox collected 4 hits and 4 RBI, and Voshell added 4 hits and 3 RBI.

A great weekend of baseball for the 13U Mambas at the Ripken. 🐍

🐍💥 The 11U Mambas came out swinging at the FST Appreciation Tournament, going 2-0 on Saturday with a pair of impressive wins!

The Mambas opened the day with a 9-2 win over the Mid-State Mavs, getting it done on both sides of the ball. Camden Hall led the offense with a huge game, going 3-for-3 with a home run, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. On the mound, Cole Duffy allowed just one hit and one earned run over 3.2 innings, with Nolan Culbertson closing it out as the Mambas held the Mavs to just one hit.

Then the bats absolutely exploded.

The Mambas rolled past the Frederick Bulls, 33-1, pounding out 27 hits in just three innings. Every player in the lineup scored at least twice, with Duke Fifer going 4-for-4 with 3 RBI, while Will Carickhoff, Andrew Kokolus and Fitz Gilman each drove in 4 runs.

A dominant opening day for the 11U Mambas. They’ll head into Sunday 2-0 and ready for bracket play!

🚨🏆‼️RIPKEN CHAMPIONS! ‼️🏆🚨

What a weekend for the 9U Malvern Mambas! The boys went a perfect 4-0 at the Ripken Experience in Aberdeen, bringing home the Can O’ Corn Championship — their biggest and most impressive tournament title yet!

After going 2-0 Saturday with wins over the Pat Med Raiders, 21-3, and Long Island Empire, 6-3, the Mambas came back Sunday and took it to another level.

In the semifinal, they rolled past the Dumont Huskies, 20-4, pounding out 19 hits and putting the game away with a 15-run third inning. George Treat had 3 hits and 5 RBI, Jamo Miller drove in 4, Henry Sheehan went 3-for-3 with 3 RBI, and Hudson Wanner added 3 RBI. Jamo was stellar in relief, allowing just one hit and no runs over 2.1 innings.

Then it was championship time.

The Mambas finished the job with a 16-7 win over very strong Academy Baseball Red, collecting another 12 hits. Reed Arena and George each drove in 3 runs, while Grant Curley and Jamo added 2 RBI apiece. Hudson earned the win on the mound and Reed closed it out.

This group has already put together an incredible season and won some big tournaments, but this one stands above the rest. Going to Ripken, facing teams from multiple states and coming home as champions is a huge accomplishment for these boys and the Mambas program.

The 9U Mambas are now an unbelievable 27-1 on the season.
