(202)

As the premier martial arts school in southeast Michigan, we are proud to be a member of the Zen Bei Butoku Kai, one of the largest and oldest martial arts organizations in the country. While this is our primary focus, we also blend in curriculum from other styles of martial arts, such as aikido, jujitsu and arnis. Our instructors hold black belts in multiple martial arts. Sensei John Wasilina has been a practitioner of the martial arts for 25 years, and as a 6th degree black belt, is the highest ranking member of our organization in the state.

Word of the Week: Focus

Focus means giving your full attention to what you are doing and staying committed to the goal in front of you. In karate, focus helps us stay sharp during training, improve our techniques, and perform our best during kata and sparring. As we get ready for the tournament this Saturday, remember to stay focused and give it your best.

Word of the Week: Courage!

Courage is not the absence of fear. It is choosing to keep going even when you’re afraid. In karate and in life, courage means facing challenges, stepping outside your comfort zone, and believing in yourself when things get difficult. True martial artists don’t let fear hold them back; they use it as motivation to become stronger.
