🚨 OFFICIAL LUBBOCK RED RAIDERS PRESS RELEASE 🚨
It is with great sadness, tremendous respect, and absolutely zero surprise that the Lubbock Red Raiders announce the immediate retirement of Coach Harrison Turnerhill from competitive adult flag football. 🏈😂
Following yesterday’s Coaches Flag Football Tournament, Coach Turnerhill submitted his formal letter of resignation after his knees, ankles, hamstrings, and apparently every muscle he forgot existed unanimously voted NO MORE.
We would like to thank Coach Turnerhill and the rest of our brave coaching staff for representing the Red Raiders with pride, determination, and the wildly misplaced confidence of 30–40-year-old men who genuinely believed they could still move like they did at 19. 😭
Reports indicate several coaches are currently listed as day-to-day, walking sideways down stairs, making involuntary noises when standing up, and reconsidering every life decision that led them to believe this was a good idea.
Coach Turnerhill will now return to his regularly scheduled duties of standing safely on the sideline yelling “COME ON, YOU GOTTA MOVE!” at children — with a newfound respect for just how difficult moving actually is.
Please respect Coach Turnerhill’s privacy during this difficult recovery period.
In lieu of flowers, the organization is accepting donations of ibuprofen, Biofreeze, knee braces, ankle wraps, heating pads, and thoughts & prayers. 🙏🏼😂
