9:30 am get your front row view to see the fashion show starting at 9:45 am as our young models coached by Eris Aubrie and Bowie students rock the runway outside the MLK Center with teenage designer Gabby of Gabby’s World Design. . You don’t want miss it! Live performances, Giveaways, Mental health experiences, Real conversations. Bring your friends and family. There will be activities on the yard. Outside of the MLK Center/grassy area. Check out the yoga and fitness tents. Dress comfortably or wear your fitness gear and sneaks, because you may want to get it in! Come early and enjoy all festivities until 3 pm.

Models I can’t stress it enough that I am seeking SERIOUS HAIR MODELS. Specific to this type of gig…HAIR MODELING. It takes a special kind of model, who does specialized modeling - HAIR MODELS, specific to just that. Models who do not mind getting paid for a new look, haircut or color is what I’m seeking. Models who need representation to do this type of work…which is ALWAYS PAID GIGS. I’m seeking ALL! Females & Males with hair. Brunettes, redheads, blondes, etc. I’m looking for you.
ALL ETHNICITIES, DRESS SIZES 2-16,
Female Height: 5’6-5’11,
Male Height: 5’10-6’3
HAIR: ALL TEXTURES, ALL LENGTHS - except bald, because stylists need something to work with.
MUST BE 18 TO 35 years of age. IF I NEED MODELS 36-70, I WILL POST AND SCOUT FOR YOU. Unfortunately, at this time the clients will not cast models with extensions/weaves, protective styles because hairstylist prefer to CREATE from your natural texture of hair. They want to color and cut at least 2-3 inches off. If it’s more…they will let me know. They pay for hair prep and they pay for event day, which could be a photoshoot, stylist workshops, or a hair show. I’ve had models booked and sent to Vegas for a huge hair show with these clients. Every now and again, I will get a hair casting notice for STYLING ONLY, in this case I will notify models on my roster.
If this sounds like something you want to do or pursue, send me your comp cards a few pictures with your hair showing clearly in its natural state, white and non-distracting background showing hair…front, back and profile, showing length clearly. A 3 quarter image would be sufficient. I will accept comp cards additionally for other opportunities. One full body image, selfies are also sufficient, black tank top, black leggings, or jeans the standard look you would submit for any model casting. REFLECTING: I’ve been silent so long on TMJ Models page. Posting has been far and few between. Honestly, it wasn’t until years after social media had been so popular and necessary for business that my models had to convince me to open an Instagram account for TMJ Models. I wasn’t so thrilled at all about it and just didn’t want to get caught up in this THEN new marketing platform…little did I know. Yes, I was late in the game and I’m still a bit too chilled with it. Well, its been me, myself and I growing this business. No investors. No interns. No nothing! Until now. Tell you at the end. Right now, I want to be transparent. When I first started TMJ Models over a decade ago, I came out the gate with extreme fierceness. Unshaken. A great team of clients that represented my brand well! Booking like crazy! I began with confidence, relentlessness, excitement. I made it my mission to help aspiring models. I made it my mission to protect the rights of models. I fought to get them paying gigs. I made it an important part of my business routine to creative direct model photo shoots with one of my favorite photographers & friend Jesse
It was normal to show up at LA Fashion Week castings to shake hands, meet producers, meet designers or their representatives, introducing myself and my brand, TMJ Models. Success doesn’t come without a great team during the journey. It doesn’t come without disappointments, rejections, or failed attempts of solidifying deals. It’s just the nature of any business. Models came and went…again, ITS JUST THE NATURE OF THE BUSINESS. Well, somewhere in there, I lost my luster and excitement for it and stopped showing up to shake hands, stopped scouting, stopped leveling up and started not giving a damn! I almost gave it up…a few times! I PAUSED. I became a fitness coach & have been for almost 10 years. This reflection was to say - I’M STILL HERE. I’M PUSHING PLAY. PAUSE IS NO LONGER.
