Equestrian Confirmed for Kamloops 2026 55+ BC Games

Horse Council BC is pleased to announce that equestrian sport will be included in the 55+ BC Games. The 2026 Equestrian Events will take place September 8–11, 2026, at the North Thompson Fair Grounds in Barrière, BC.

After extensive work to secure a suitable venue, HCBC is proud to confirm that the competition will be hosted at the Barriere Fall Fair Grounds (North Thompson Fair Grounds), located at 4856 Dunn Lake Road, Barrière, BC. The facility provides an ideal setting to showcase the skill, partnership, and sportsmanship of equestrian athletes from across the province.

HCBC would like to sincerely thank the Kamloops 2026 Host Society for their collaboration and commitment in bringing equestrian to the Games program. Their leadership and partnership have been instrumental in making this opportunity possible for 55+ equestrian athletes in British Columbia.

A little business update from me 💚

As many of you know, I'm always looking for ways to better support the horses and owners I work with. Over time, I've realized that some of the most valuable sessions are the ones where I can really take a deep dive into a horse's history, movement, compensation patterns, and overall needs-not just treat what I'm seeing that day.

Because of that, I'll be making some changes to my service offerings in the coming weeks.
My goal is to provide more comprehensive initial assessments, give owners a clearer understanding of what I'm finding, and create treatment plans that better support each horse's long-term comfort and performance.
I also want to continue focusing on horses that are receiving regular maintenance care, as that's where I consistently see the best results and lasting improvements.

These changes will allow me to spend my time and energy where it matters most: helping your horses feel their best while providing the thoughtful, individualized care they deserve.
I'll be sharing more details about the updated services and pricing soon. As always, I am incredibly grateful for the trust you've placed in me and for allowing me to be part of your horse's wellness journey.
