I decided to cut open these golf balls from Tangible Golf just to see what the insides looked like. I noticed that some of the halves are one solid color throughout the core, while others have two completely different colored rings.
I am asking out of pure curiosity because I honestly do not know the answer. Why do manufacturers use different colors on the inside layers of certain golf balls? Does it affect compression, spin, or nothing at all?

Remember that iconic video of Rory McIlroy hitting an iron shot directly through the open windows of a car? I decided to put my short game—and my brand new partnership with Zest Golf Carts—to the absolute test out here at Valle del Sol.
Chipping balls directly through the open cab structure of the cart. Some went clean through, and a few definitely clanged off the frame (sorry, Zest!).
Honestly, the build quality on these carts is incredible—the heavy-duty frame took the hits like a champ. Aside from being incredibly durable, this thing is packed with features like an extended battery life that easily powers through 18 holes at altitude, premium sound, and ergonomic seating that makes the ride ridiculously comfortable.
How many tries do you think it would take you to hit this gap?
One of the most fascinating architectural details you will find on a golf course. On hole 14 at Alicante Golf, there are fully preserved Roman ruins dating back to the first century BC.
I spoke with Juan about how these ruins were discovered during construction and why designer Seve Ballesteros insisted on keeping them as a permanent hazard on the course. Getting over the wall requires a precise shot, making it as mentally challenging as it is historic.

How good was Seve Ballesteros?
After fighting the tight jungle fairways and tropical layouts out here in Costa Rica, I decided to stop fighting the inevitable. Why waste a swing when the ball is destined for the water anyway?

Genius or gimmick? The golf bag invention you didn't know you needed.
I got a behind-the-scenes look at the Tangible Golf warehouse in Alicante, Spain, to see a design that is shaking up the golf world. They patented a rain hood that detaches and instantly transforms into a durable, waterproof backpack to hold your golf shoes, clothes, and gear.
Why are the massive corporate golf brands still making flimsy rain covers when they could be doing this?
An absolute highlight of staying in Alicante, Spain, is just how interconnected everything is. For today's round, I bypassed the standard car rentals or Uber and hopped onto the clean, modern local TRAM at the MARQ-Castillo stop.
It was a scenic, stress-free ride directly to the "Campo de Golf" station, followed by a quick walk straight over to the spectacular Alicante Golf course. Navigating the coast with golf gear on public transit was incredibly easy and made the day feel like a true adventure before I even stepped onto the first tee of this Seve Ballesteros masterpiece.

A painful lesson in course management today at Font del Llop Golf Course. Stuck in a fairway bunker, I tried to get greedy with a 7-iron. I caught it a little low, slammed it straight into the face of the bunker lip, and watched it dribble out 40 yards.
When you're in the sand, getting height on a mid-iron requires a perfect ball-first strike. If you hit it thin or fat, the ball won't lift. On a punishing layout like this one, it's always smarter to take your medicine, use a higher-lofted wedge, and guarantee you get back onto the fairway.
