Teoscar Hernández and Tyler Glasnow powered the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 6-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers to claim the series win at Comerica Park!
Hernández provided the signature blow with a go-ahead, 434-foot two-run home run in the sixth inning, his first homer since August 3rd—to jumpstart a scuffling Los Angeles lineup.
On the mound, Glasnow was dominant in his second start off the IL, tossing seven innings of one-run ball on just 85 pitches while striking out six. The victory gives L.A. much-needed momentum as they rest the bullpen and head back home for a critical nine-game stretch. 🔵⚾️

The Dodgers are weighing their options on the mound with Shohei Ohtani. ⚾🔵
Manager Dave Roberts shared that Shohei Ohtani is not feeling 100% physically overall as he works through general fatigue alongside his knee recovery.
The Dodgers are actively discussing whether it makes sense to start Ohtani for a single inning on Sunday against the Tigers before handing things over to Tyler Glasnow.
Should the Dodgers rest Shohei Ohtani from pitching until he is fully 100%? 👇

Watching Kyle Tucker toddle off the bag with zero urgency just to get himself thrown out was pure comedy. The NHK commentators couldn't even process what they were seeing as the sequence played out.
It takes a truly staggering lack of situational awareness to leave Japanese broadcasters completely speechless on air. 💀

Yoshinobu Yamamoto deserved better tonight. 😮💨
6.1 IP • 1 ER • 4 H • 8 K • 1 BB
He kept the Braves’ offense in check and gave the Dodgers a chance, but with no run support, that first-pitch mistake ended up being the difference in a 1-0 loss. 💔

Tarik Skubal is preparing to face the Tigers in Detroit less than a month after being traded to the Dodgers.
“I’m sure it will be emotional there just because of the history. But at the end of the day, I’ve got to go play baseball.”
Skubal spent his entire MLB career with Detroit before the trade and still has close relationships inside the Tigers clubhouse.

Shohei Ohtani had a leadoff triple in the 9th inning, but the Dodgers weren't able to push him home as Los Angeles lost a tough one against the Braves on Tuesday night 😔

Tanner Scott has reclaimed the closer role for the Dodgers with his composure back, proving that he has completely neutralized the high-leverage panic from last season. 👏🌟

EDMAN WALKS IT OFF! 🔥
The Dodgers take down the Pirates, 5-4, in 10 innings on a clutch RBI single.
Yamamoto was outstanding with 6.1 IP, 2 ER and 9 K as LA improves to 78-51. 💙

We wish we knew 🤷♂️
WHAT THE TUCK IS HAPPENING WITH KYLE? 🤷♂️
In 2025, Kyle Tucker was one of the best hitters in baseball.
He earned an All-Star nod, a Silver Slugger Award, and established himself as one of the premier free agents heading into 2026. So naturally, when the Dodgers came calling, expectations were enormous.
Los Angeles shocked the baseball world once again, signing “King Tuck” to a massive four-year, $240 million contract.
But with the three-peat-seeking Dodgers, a contract that massive comes with massive expectations.
It's late August.
And Tucker is nowhere close to looking like the All-Star we saw last season.
Earlier this week, cameras caught Tucker seemingly fighting back tears after a brutal game against the Rockies. He went 0-for-4 at the plate and compounded the night with a costly blunder in right field.
That's a tough night for any player.
But for a $240 million player expected to help lead Los Angeles to another championship? It's downright alarming.
And here's where it gets even crazier:
If we're looking at Wins Above Replacement, Tucker isn't even better than a replacement-level player. 👀
