I consider them all to be solid human beings and incredible creators. I even felt that way last night

And HBO…my favorite since 1986.

The was kind enough to do an article about “What The Old G**s Remember”. So much thanks to for his thoughtful reporting (and several good conversations that deserve respect on their own terms, involving some deep Madonna and Annie Lennox analysis I will think of for years). Then they sent to my house to take photos of me and we talked for four hours and I think maybe I’d take a bullet for her now. Then, lulled into a false sense of security by her charm and candor I took all these magnificent, ridiculous photos with her. (Caftan by , choreo indirectly by ) thanks to for talking about me and for pitching me the idea for the series. If being a middle aged gay means friends and colleagues such as these, it’s not so bad. But also if you’re going to be in Edinburgh this August, come to my show! Article link in bio!

I met Jim Burrows when I was working as a Page at Paramount on “Cheers.” Watching him direct that iconic show was an education. Years later I was thrilled to work with him on “Will and Grace.” He’d give a note like, “Timmy, slam your hand down on the bar when you say your last word, then run off.” I’d do it, and get a big laugh, not even knowing why. Somehow he knew that would make it funny. He was truly brilliant. What a joy it was to work with him again on “The Comeback.” He delivers a beautiful speech about his love for writers. He loved writers and actors and made us all feel very special. I’m so grateful for him. Rest in peace Jimmy. ❤️
