Musicality Workshop with Tango Bardo
Sunday June 7
4:00-5:15pm

Dive deep into the rich complexity of Argentine tango music with the members of Tango Bardo. This immersive session gives dancers and aficionados a clear framework to understand and interpret the genre.
We’ll explore:
* Historical context and evolution of tango music
* The role and function of each instrument
* Signature styles of iconic orchestras
* Differences between tango, milonga, and vals
* Musical tools like marcato, phrasing, and layering
The workshop culminates in a guided dance experience, where you’ll apply what you hear - transforming the way you move to the music in

✨ Elmo Verano: The Music Edition

We’re so excited to gather for another El Motivo Tango Marathon: Elmo Verano - August 21–23, 2026❤️

Join us for 24+ hours of dancing with an incredible DJ lineup, along with live traditional and alternative tango music woven throughout the weekend.

Saturday & Sunday mornings, Alex Krebs will guide musicality workshops focused on listening, connection, and becoming more comfortable dancing to modern orchestras, live music, and alternative tango while staying grounded in traditional tango technique.

Our intention for the weekend is to create a space for deeper listening, curiosity, presence, and connection - both with the music and with each other.

Noche Azul is a new monthly Salsa & Bachata social dance experience at  designed to give our studio dancers a place to grow, and encourage creativity, connection, and community.

Set in Motivo’s beautiful, vintage-inspired ballroom, Noche Azul feels like walking into a hidden Latin-inspired underground club in the middle of Los Angeles.
