(East Los Angeles, CA) : The extended June break for the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) gave Angel City time to regroup. They returned with a strong team effort, securing a much-needed victory and earning 3 valuable points to add to their record. The match was held on Friday, July 3rd, during our 4th of July weekend celebrations, beginning at 7:00 pm.

This much-anticipated win moved their record to (5W-6L-1T), good for 16 points and a slight move up in the standings. And, during the long break, the team made several significant moves: they parted ways with Head Coach Alex Straus, who had been in his position until the pause. Shortly after this change, within days, the Club gained NWSL attention with its big-time trade for Ally Sentnor, an experienced player from the U.S. Women's National Team (USWNT) and, until most recently, a former Kansas City Current member.

(East Los Angeles, CA) : At this time of year, most Rams fans are aware that all 32 NFL franchises are team-building and, in a certain sense, competing to be the best for their cities and fan bases.

And as the 2026 season awaits its official start with Training Camps opening in the summer, the Rams already drew considerable attention on June 1st from NFL experts, insiders, media, coaches, players, and Rams fans. This is obviously due to their major trade with the Cleveland Browns, which acquired 5-time First-Team All-Pro Defensive End and edge rusher extraordinaire Myles Garrett. In exchange, they traded away the highly popular and talented outside linebacker Jared Verse and three future draft picks.

This has definitely created a strong, positive "buzz" that fans will be discussing as the Rams prepare for their official training camp, starting in mid-to-late July. Learn more about this significant Myles Garrett move in the team's official press release.
