In 2016, Emmett was fighting for a starting job on the field — by 2017 he was learning how to become a filmmaker.

He had earned the starting job, only to watch it get handed to somebody else. But the setback didn’t stop the work. His response was simple: “So, let’s execute.”

Behind the camera, he was figuring it out interview by interview, shoot by shoot and edit by edit. There was no certainty that any of this footage would become something bigger. We just believed the story deserved to be documented.
