Every time you start from scratch for a new client you are not just spending time.

You are proving that you do not have a system.

And a business without a system is just a job with extra steps.

Here is the smarter way to build:

Start with your ideal client.

Not a generic client. Not every type of person who could theoretically hire you.

The specific person you talk about in your I help statement on your Instagram page.

Your I help statement and your program should match.

If your content says you help busy moms lose 20 pounds without giving up their social life — your program should be built for that exact person.

Not a 22 year old athlete. Not a 55 year old man trying to build muscle.

Your ideal client. Your master program. Built once.

Build the master plan around that person.

This becomes your base program.

The foundation that every new client starts from.

When a new client comes in with slightly different goals you do not start over.

You subscribe them to the master plan and add the customization on top.

The base is already built.

The system is already running.

This is how you scale without burning out.

Because scaling is not about working more hours.

It is about building something once and deploying it repeatedly.

One master program. Endless clients. Minimal rebuild time.

The coaches who are fully booked are not the ones who are the most talented.

They are the ones who stopped reinventing the wheel for every single client and built a system that does the heavy lifting for them.

Build the base. Add the customization. Scale the system.

Most fitness coaches are not struggling because they are not posting enough.

They are struggling because they are posting the wrong types of content and measuring the wrong results.

Here are all five ranked worst to best:

5. The Relatable Struggle Post.
Great for reach. Terrible for revenue. When someone relates to your content they feel seen. But feeling seen does not make them want to hire you. It makes them want to follow you. There is a difference.

4. The Mistake List.
Three reasons you are not losing fat. Five things killing your progress. This content gets saved which means people found it valuable enough to keep. But saved does not mean sold. People save things they plan to use later. Later rarely comes.

3. The Hot Take.
Your personal opinion on a controversial topic. This sparks debate and conversation which is great for engagement. But debate does not equal trust. And trust is what gets you hired.

2. The Step by Step How To.
The exact three day split for fat loss. The precise macro breakdown for cutting. This content attracts people who are actively trying to solve a problem. The people who like and comment under this post are warm leads. Contact them immediately.

1. The Copy This Result Post.
Show a client transformation. Show exactly how they got it. End with a keyword CTA.

“My client Jonathan just hit his sixth 10k month using this exact strategy. Comment STRATEGY and I will send it to you.”
That comment becomes a DM. That DM becomes a conversation. That conversation becomes a client.

The coaches signing clients consistently are not the ones posting the most.

They are the ones posting with the most intention.

Save this. Audit your last nine posts. Then adjust. 👇

What if your first online client was already in your phone right now and you just had not reached out yet.

There are people in your phone right now who already trust you.

Who already care about their health.

Who would say yes to working with you if you just asked.

But you have not asked.

And while you have been busy building the perfect Instagram page figuring out which software to use and waiting until everything feels ready — another month went by without a single client.

Here is what I would do instead if I wanted my first online client this week:

Step 1. Make a list of 20 people you know who care about their health.

Not strangers. Not cold leads.

People who already know you. Already trust you. Already have a reason to listen when you speak.

That list already exists in your phone right now.

Step 2. Send them a real message.

Not a pitch. Not a sales script.

Something like — “Hey I just started coaching people online and I am looking for a few people to work with. Are you still working toward your fitness goals?”

That is it. One message. Real conversation.

Step 3. Listen before you sell.

Ask about their goals. Ask about their challenges. Ask what they have already tried.

The more you understand their situation the easier the offer becomes.

Step 4. Make a simple offer.

A 4, 8, or 12 week program built around the exact challenges they just told you about.

No complicated packages. No confusing tiers.

One clear offer that solves a specific problem.

Step 5. Collect the payment.

PayPal. Stripe. Whatever works.

Do not let the tools stop you from helping people and making money.

Your first client does not need your website to be finished.

They need you to show up and ask.

Every day you wait is a day someone else gets the client that should have been yours.

Live reaction of one of our Reuben Brooks coaches hitting his first 10k month… with 10 days to spare.

Moments like this is why im reminded of how much I love what I do.

Coach Rolando Monge | Online Fitness & Lifestyle Coach started with us at zero.

Zero leads.
Zero engagement.
Zero money from his online fitness business.

But what he did have was belief.

Belief that he could hit 10k.
Belief that he would be an authority in the fitness space.
Belief that if he was paired with the right teacher he’d be able to build his dream life and business for himself.

6 months later coach Rolo did just that.

I dont know of another job where you can go from zero to 10k/mo in just six months without trading your time for money.

We’re super proud of you fam!

If you want to be next comment the word GROW to get started 🔥

Your profile closes them.

Most coaches are not failing because they are lazy.

They are failing because of small invisible mistakes that compound over time until the whole thing stops working.

Here are the three most common ones:

Mistake 1. Sending DM stoppers.
There is a difference between a message that ends a conversation and a message that starts one.

Sending someone your free guide and telling them to DM you if they have questions is a DM stopper.

Nobody DMs with questions.

But asking someone what their goal was for downloading your guide — that opens a conversation.

That conversation becomes a lead.

The difference between the two is one intentional question.

Mistake 2. Judging your content by views.

Views feel like progress.

They are not.

A post with 50,000 views and zero saves just entertained 50,000 people who will never hire you.

A post with 500 views and 200 saves just built 200 relationships with people who found what you said worth keeping.

Start tracking saves and shares.

That is where the real data lives.

DM me the word METRICS and I will send you the exact KPI tracker my clients use.

Mistake 3. Not understanding how social media actually works.

Think of social media marketing like nutrition.

80% of your results come from the fundamentals.

Understanding how to communicate to your ideal client. Understanding what makes content shareable. Understanding the difference between content that gets attention and content that gets clients.

If abs are made in the kitchen — leads and clients are made from saves and shares.

Master the fundamentals before you worry about anything else.

One mistake is fixable.

Three unchecked will quietly run your business into the ground.

Most coaches look at their numbers and feel frustrated.

The right coaches look at their numbers and get instructions.

Every metric your content produces is feedback.

Follow Reuben Brooks | Fitness Business Coach for more. 👇

Here is how to read it:

Lots of views but almost no saves.

Your content is entertaining but not useful enough to keep.

Entertainment builds audiences. Value builds businesses. Give them something worth coming back to. A workout split. A macro guide. A framework they can actually use.

Lots of saves but no DMs.

You taught them something worth keeping but gave them nowhere to go next. A strong call to action connected to a lead magnet fixes this immediately. Make it easier for them to do what you just taught them and they will tell you.

Sending 100 DMs but not booking calls.

The problem is not the volume. It is the quality of the conversation. A copy paste ChatGPT script feels like a copy paste ChatGPT script. Ask real questions. Learn their goals. Learn their challenges. Then offer the call in a way that speaks directly to what they just told you.

Not “I have 3 spots left do you want to hop on a call.”

But “if you want to know exactly how to lose those 10 pounds before your wedding I can map that out for you on a quick call.”

One of those feels like a sales pitch. The other feels like a solution.

High call volume but low close rate.
You are selling the wrong thing.

Nobody wakes up wanting a workout plan.

They wake up wanting to look incredible on their wedding night. To feel confident at the reunion. To finally feel like themselves again.

Sell the transformation.

Not the tools you use to get them there.

Your metrics are not the problem.
They are the map.
