At least the scenery is nice 🥲

Connecting people to communities around them so that we may all learn, grow, & thrive.
As an athlete & coach, I enjoy introducing runners to the sport while advocating for diversity & inclusion, a holistic lifestyle, & the freedom to show up as you are.
But can you do it bleeding? 🙂↔️
Athletes are comfortable talking about mileage, splits, & PRs. But somehow the menstrual cycle is still a taboo topic, even when it directly affects energy, recovery, and performance.
This can be a costly mistake. Runners will push through symptoms because they don’t know what’s normal. Coaches build plans without factoring in varying hormonal changes are from person to person. And the research gap in women’s sports science? Let’s not even go there. 😤
The more we talk about this openly, the better we get at not looking at our cycles as distractions but as a key marker of our overall health. Don’t be afraid to speak up or get help, you are more than worth it. ✨
IT’S HERE!!! 🚨
Last month I had the opportunity of a lifetime with Runner's World
I got to be the host of their latest series: “The Runner’s World Guide to Nutrition and Fueling.” The first chapter: How to Fuel Before, During, and After Your Run” is out today!
You’re going to want to hear from the awesome dieticians they gathered. Enjoy this little teaser (& my reactions 😆) because in order to get everything out of this amazing series, you’ll have to join Runners World+ (worth it, imo).
This first video is linked in my bio. I’d love to hear how the series helps YOU with your training and nutrition. My DMs are open to chat 🤙🏿✨

A very official, very scientific check-in (results may vary, vibes are mandatory) ⚡️
Drink your water. Take your meds. Rest without spiraling about it. Fuel the training with respect. Give yourself some credit — you’re doing better than the voice in your head is telling you.
Also, you’re one of one. There is no one else doing it exactly you. So maybe ease up a little?
Thanks for checking in 🫶🏿✨

A coach isn’t just a plan. People think that’s the product — a spreadsheet, a set of paces, a schedule to follow. But that’s not really what you’re paying for.
You’re paying for someone else to carry the uncertainty for a while.
Is today supposed to feel hard? Is this normal fatigue or something to flag? Should I push through this week or back off? On your own, you’re answering all of that in real time, with no outside perspective. With a coach, someone else is watching the patterns. Someone else is holding the context you don’t have room to hold while you’re also just trying to get through the run.
That’s the part nobody puts in the sales pitch. Better splits are nice. But the real shift is not carrying every decision alone anymore.
Few 1:1 spots open right now. Link in bio if you’re ready to hand some of that off. ✨
First step in getting an ŌURA is choosing the right size.
Not too big that it slips & not too tight that that it barely fits. You start with a sizing kit so you can find the right fit for the finger you want to wear it on. A size 9 fits both my index finger and my ring finger so it’s perfect!
Once you choose your size, it’s time to put in your order! ✨

I should write a book 📖 ✍🏿😂
Hard to sum up a story like this, but I’ve been wanting to make this post for a while. Hopefully it provides some hope and a reminder to treat that person next to you in the start corral with kindness. You might never know what it took for them to be there. ✨
If you’re on a similar journey and are tired to trying it out on your own, let’s talk. Link in bio .💜
