What a beautiful way to spend a Sunday!

A huge thank you to The Seacret Sauce | Chicago Meal Prep and Chef Aura for bringing us together for Rooftop Pilates, and to everyone who came out, moved, laughed, connected, shopped and shared in the experience. A huge thanks to Gigi for making sure we were included.

We’re so grateful Ayebea’s Sankofa Marketplace could be part of such a beautiful gathering. There’s something special about being in spaces where wellness, community and supporting small businesses all come together. 🧘🏾‍♀️☀️

I love the idea behind this carousel because it shows that our fabrics don’t have to be saved for a “special occasion.” They can simply be part of how we dress and how we live.

Ntama means fabric in Akan, and there are so many ways to make it your own. Wear it to work. Dress it down for the weekend. Throw on a beautiful kimono for dinner. Mix it with pieces already in your closet.

There really isn’t one “right” way to wear it. For me, that’s part of the beauty of keeping tradition alive. We don’t have to leave it in the past. We carry it forward, we make it our own, and we wear it in ways that fit the lives we live today.

You’ve seen the beads. Now meet Abdul Rahman, the artisan partner in Ghana whose hands are behind all of ASM’s waist bead strands.

Each strand represents more than beautiful color. It carries skill, patience, tradition, and craftsmanship; made by a real person whose work deserves to be seen, valued, and named.
