What’s your relationship with uncertainty?

Not whether you like uncertainty. Most of us don’t.

But what happens in you when you don’t know what’s going to happen? When you’re waiting for an answer? When something is changing? When there simply isn’t enough information yet to know how things will turn out?

I’ve been developing, teaching, writing about, and living with these questions for years, and I’m incredibly excited to finally bring this work into a room with other people.

On Friday, I’m opening registration at RealJoy Yoga for something I’ve never offered before:

REALJoy Living: Befriending Uncertainty

A six-week experience exploring what it might mean to become a more conscious participant in our relationship with uncertainty, rather than treating uncertainty as a problem we can finally solve.

We had a fun time painting rocks today!

Take a midday seated stretch break today, Wednesday, from 11:30am-noon. Give your body a gentle reset. In this 30-minute session, we'll use a chair to explore comfortable stretching, mobility, and mindful breathwork designed to help ease tension from sitting and leave you feeling refreshed for the rest of your day.

We are all a work in progress. If you don't feel like you are where you want to be yet, take a deep breath. Things take time to build, to change, to grow.

Here is a picture from 3 years ago. This was the studio before it was the studio. Notice, there was no door from the outside. No storage closet. No flooring. And yet, this was when the studio was almost finished. It had already been months of work just to get it like this.

Time. It all takes time. Let yourself be where you are, as you are, today.

SPECIAL YIN - D.O. It For Denny Fundraiser

To all students: We are finally getting the new HVAC unit installed! It was ordered last December!

The studio will be closed on 7/30 and classes are canceled for that day (next Thursday). The contractors will be there both Thurs and Fri next week.
