Seeing Sadie Grace through

So....my daughters bowels didn't want to wait until Tuesday for the cast to come off! She had a MAJOR blowout last night and our dr is meeting us at children's in an hour. Will be cast free and bathing this afternoon. We will be getting a hard plastic hip brace to wear for a while, but we can swim with that!!!!

We went for follow up last week and dr said everything is looking great...we have next appointment 7/28 and hope to get this cast off at that point....will be 9 weeks at that point!

Hey there....just about half way thru this cast! Been having much better luck with cast odor and diapering. We took her to church two weeks and she did really well. She is a determined little thing! You can't hold her back, for sure!!

One week after surgery, SG started army crawling around the house....so we thought, hey---lets get her a skate board....So, yesterday I was treated to pretty toes by mi amiga Stephanie Dunn....and Tammaria was kind enough to stay with Sadie Grace and Hatcharoo.....this is what I got:

Well, we are fighting hard. Sadie Grace's Mamaw passed away Wednesday afternoon. After much though and consideration, we decided that with her cast position, it would not be fair to put her in so much pain by traveling cross country. SG, Hatch and I are still here in Arkansas, but our hearts are with our family in Ludowici, GA right now. Please be praying for peace and safe travels for our extended family as they come in to remember happy times with Myrna and celebrate that she is not hurting any longer. Thank you!

Things have been wild! With SG's cast not staying dry, we are concerned. We called and will be moving our check up appointment up to tomorrow. We will see what that brings. SG has always had a very active bladder and it likes to give us a run for our money!

OMG this is way harder than I ever imagined! A "can't keep still" two yr old and a 7 month old who is just becoming mobile....both crying at the same time, neither able to tell me what the need or want.....why can't we be rich and have a full time nurse during this process....and a housekeeper as well???

June is international Hip Dysplasia Awareness Month...please make sure all babies you have contact with have healthy hips! Carry, swaddle and ride with enough room for their precious b***y!!! For more info, please check out these pages:

We are packing up. Unfortunately not able to have an actual car seat due to the way the cast had to be fitted. So we will be using an E Z ON vest and buckle her into the vehicle. So we are getting all the paperwork taken care of and IVs removed..,..

Occasionally the staff here at ACH arrange for canine therapy. So we were lucky enough to be here today for such an amazing dog to work with! Here is a pic of Sadie Grace and Crockett. She really enjoyed playing catch with this gentle old boy!
