I hated leavin after heavy, but with the heat and my back, i didn't have it in me. It seems Terry Garrison didnt need a thing, and put another win up! Congrats man!

I was real close to backin out of the White Oak Creek Shooting Range match this week. The heat and work the past couple of weeks has been brutal, then this sciatica or whatever it is with my back the last few days really had me thinkin relaxing in the ac sure sounded good. But, i got home from work yesterday and loaded up anyway, and im glad i did! Started off with finding this little fella crossin the rd right by the gate and throwin him in my tote with my gear lol. He ended up gettin wrapped up in my elevator and had to take out a few screws to get him out lol. I had my fun with him and Terry Garrison, Jennifer Scottie Stratton , and Robin Epps then let him go about his merry way lol. Today the match went awesome despite the heat. It was miserably hot and mirage was terrible, but with burms bein so dry we were still able to see alot of misses. I managed to pull off the win with 2 more 2 mile impacts, plus a couple on the 3050! I probably woulda had at least 1 more on t2 if ida remembered to dial from t1 lol. Curtis Roman put another on the 2 mile as well, but seein scottie get his first 2 mile on the 4th shot, then the excitement when the 5th hit too really put some icing on the cake! On top of that, big John Ashworth put 3 on 3050 and took 2nd! Believe its only his 2nd heavy gun match too! Had all 4 of the mafia crew there and just had a helluva time. Seems like we are always down 1 of us. Bruce Beltramini, Curtis, and terry are my people. Idk a better way to say it. Im truly blessed to be able to do this and love every minute of it. The friendships ive made through it are unbeatable. So many damn good people. Im very thankful to those that support me in this, no one more so than my wife Samantha Lindsay. She always holds the fort down when im away. She really is the best. And my sponsors are 2nd to none. Im not sure how i managed to be so lucky on bein surrounded and supported by so many awesome people, but man im thankful for it. Had ol Todd Baker out today with a few of his buddies for a mini class/ elr experience. 3 generations all got their first taste of elr with impacts out to 2223 yds! Was a good day!

Im exhausted from this damn heat, but somehow still lookin forward to spendin all day in it at White Oak Creek Shooting Range this weekend! Yall sign up and come sweat with us!

U know Alamo Precision Rifles builds a solid rifle when u can go over a month without touching it, grab some old ammo from last match, lay down and shoot a 10 shot group like this. Fusion Pro Shooting Systems chassis just locks every thing down. No wondering zeros, everything stays on point. If id have settled into the bag and took a little more time, those top 2 first shots woulda been better too. Had to free up some brass for Spearpoint Ranch this weekend!! Feels like its been a year since ive shot, and lookin forward to knocking some paint off and seein my elr crew!

Side note, if u can clean ur rifle immediately after shooting while the barrel is warm, it goes faster. Guess everything bein hot and loose makes it comes out easier.

Couple students from the last clinic reached out askin bout the next one, and it got me thinkin. What yall think about one this fall for students from the previous 3? A level 2 or whatever u wanna call it, but mainly hang out, cook out, and shoot 2 miles at White Oak Creek Shooting Range all weekend from Thursday night through a sunday?

Dear lord what a weekend!! Wrapped up the 3rd Arkansas Mafia Elr clinic today at White Oak Creek Shooting Range and man, it was an experience! We didnt get off the range yesterday untill right before dark after starting class at 8 in the lodge. Just like the other 2, Terry Garrison and Bruce Beltramini busted their ass helpin in any way they could. I absolutely could not do it without em. Thats not exaggerated in the least. Its simply too much work to handle without em. I was so busy and wrapped up in what we were doin, i didn't get a single pic of the group, a target or anything but a snake i caught that tried sneakin up on terry while he was grillin lol. It was hazy, hot, mirage'y soup allllll day today and yesterday, minus the last 2 hours or so yesterday evening. Really shoulda went to the long stuff then, because today was just rough. Even so, Martone Billy had 2 impacts in a row at 2 miles, believe shots 4 and 5. Then put a few more on it in next string. 2 others attempted it, and both Richard Rollins and Mike Sicking were soooooooo close. Mike put 4 or 5 in a group the size of a trash can lid or so juuuuust off left edge. Richard apparently liked shooting between the legs, cause he put several rounds just off bottom edge between em lol. I have 0 doubt if they had a few more rounds they woulda connected. I absolutely hate i didnt get em on. Even tho their data for elevation was damn near perfect, i just feel like i let em down, i know how much a 2 mile impact means. I wish ida loaded more up for Samantha Lindsay norma too. Originally she wasn't gonna be there so didn't load but 50. After tall target testing, then the mock match this mornin, we didnt have any rounds to send at the 2 mile. But she did amazing in the mock match with cold bore impact at 1 mile, and her longest shot made at 2500! I think she got a little of the nerves knocked out today and will be ready for her first match soon. Unbelievable experience. Thank u again bruce and terry. When u pair quantums cdf and velocity feature with Garmin chronos, and do it correctly, u get the best firing solution possible. I hope i did my job well enough as an instructor explaining how to do it and what ur actually doin when u do it, that they are now able to calculate the most accurate firing solution possible. Hopefully well have another clinic this fall! Till then yall go knock some paint off!

Tomorrow ill be at White Oak Creek Shooting Range lodge, hangin with my buddies and ol lady gettin ready to put on the 3rd Arkansas Mafia Elr clinic! Lookin forward to seein some light bulbs go off for some folks and helpin them improve. Its gonna be a damn good time!

Just wanna take a min to brag on my buddy Bruce Beltramini. Ive known him about ever since i been competing. It was prolly year before last we started hangin out a bit more at White Oak Creek Shooting Range . Then when i did the first clinic last year, him and Terry Garrison both jumped in and helped in any way they could. We've since done a 2nd one, with a 3rd at the end of the month. Theres no better men than those 2, and no better ambassadors for elr. But to see bruce go from runnin in the middle of the pack, to winnin, bein on the podium, and 4th overall in the alliance rankings just makes my day! The man goes out of his way to help anyone (specially new shooters), puts the time in, and has worked for every podium hes been on. He never post about his wins or podiums, just kinda flys under the radar. I just wanted to try to shine a spotlight on him a bit and let yall know I'm proud to call him a friend and teammate. If u havent met him or got to spend time with him on the range, ur missin out.
