My process begins with a sketchbook and a ebony pencil, starting with a line that I have no idea of where it is headed.

As I add more lines with one going this way and another going that way I start to see an idea coming to life and begin to picture in my head where this could possibly end up. Once the sketch is complete, I transfer my sketch to fine watercolor paper and begin to add watercolor dyes.
