🚨 Coaching Announcement! 🚨

Please join us in welcoming our new Assistant Coach and Pitching Specialist, Kristen Toler!

Coach Toler brings extensive playing, coaching, and leadership experience to the program. A former collegiate pitcher at Alderson Broaddus University, Kristen has continued to specialize in pitching instruction and player development throughout her coaching career.

Her experience spans both high school and competitive travel softball. Most recently, she coached at Frederick Douglass High School and led CSC 16U Toler. Prior to CSC, Kristen founded WV Sting Softball, where she spent four years building and running the organization while coaching and developing athletes.

Kristen’s coaching philosophy centers around development, accountability, competitiveness, and the overall well-being of the athlete. With a Master’s degree and professional background in clinical social work and education in psychology and family studies, she places a strong emphasis on the mental side of the game — helping athletes develop confidence, resilience, leadership, healthy communication, and the ability to perform through adversity and pressure.

Her goal is to develop strong softball players while creating an environment where athletes are challenged, supported, and prepared for the demands of high-level competition and collegiate softball.

Due to the expected weather and chance of moderate rain in the morning, we’re going to push tryouts back to Sunday from 9am-12pm. Please note that there won’t be a full 30-minute break as originally planned, just so we can get as much softball in and try to beat the expected rain Sunday afternoon. I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause!

Those that have confirmed their attendance at tryouts have been notified directly. I’m just sharing here to make sure I didn’t miss anyone!

Due to some unexpected scheduling conflicts, our tryouts this weekend will be consolidated from 3 days to 1: Saturday 8/1 from 9am-1pm. The Google form will now close tomorrow night (Thursday) at 10pm EST. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!

If you were unable to attend previously because of the 3-day commitment, please reconsider your attendance and fill out the interest form! Please reach out if you have any questions!

If you’re interested in joining a National-Level Organization with a competitive spirit, tough attitude, and serious skill, then please complete the attached interest form! Head Coach Hollie Hinkle is a Non-Parent Coach with 17 years of softball playing experience, including at the Collegiate-level.

🚨 Coaching Announcement! 🚨

Please join us in welcoming our new Assistant Coach/Catching Specialist, Kylie Rayburn!

Born and raised in Williamstown, Kentucky, Kylie’s love for the game started early and led her to play at the collegiate level, when she joined Earlham College’s roster and took up her role behind the plate. She’s since come back home to the Bluegrass and is now studying Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Psychology at the University of Kentucky. This academic program provides Kylie with a thoughtful and well-rounded perspective on team dynamics, clear communication, and young athlete growth.

In addition to her athletic and academic pursuits, Kylie works as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), which gives her a unique skill set when it comes to positive reinforcement, organization, and supporting athletes in their mental game. Known for her outgoing personality and energetic presence, Kylie brings consistent and vocal leadership to team!

When she’s not on the field or in class, Kylie loves connecting with people and spending time her two dogs, Bear and Waylon! Her favorite movie is Where the Red Fern Grows, her favorite color is blue, and her go-to food is Alfredo pasta.

We can’t wait to get started this Fall and have Kylie join us! 🥎💜🧡✨
