The Lake Crystal Bass Bashers just finished up Stage #9 of the 2026 Bass Basher Tournament Series sponsored by Mankato Scheels. -Stage #9 was the All-American Virtual tournament and anglers were encourage to fish wherever they found themselves during the 4th of July weekend. Anglers and boat captains tried to win by having the best 5 fish by length using the Fish Donkey app. Ramerth and Lauwagie came out on top with 87.50 Inches and Lauwagie catching a 19" fish near the end of the tournament to give them the win. This is Ramerth and Lauwagie's 5th win of the year and 13th win since the inception of the Bass Basher Tournament Series in 2025. Nice job guys. Right behind them was Roth and Iverson with 87.25" and nearly took home first on a good smallmouth bite up north. Check out the standings and results below.

The Lake Crystal Bass Bashers continue on with the 2026 Bass Basher Tournament Series sponsored by Scheels this weekend with the ALL-AMERICAN VIRTUAL Tournament. The Bashers will be attempting to team up virtually with their angling partner and boat captain for their best bag of five largemouth or smallmouth bass. The boat captain contribution can be one of the five fish. We know everyone will be scattered across the state but we want to keep the boys fishing and getting better so they can fish on any Minnesota body of water during this tournament. Who will win 1st place and get the 75 points towards team of the year? We will know by Monday night.

HAVE A HAPPY 4TH of JULY weekend everyone! Go catch fish wherever you are.

Last night the Lake Crystal Bass Bashers took to Lake Ballantyne for Stage #8 of The2026 Bass Bashers Tournament Series sponsored by Scheels. The fishing was tough for the boys last night. There were only 2 out of 8 teams that weighed fish. Weiderhoeft and Richter had two in the livewell for 4.40lbs and came in 2nd place. The team of Ramerth and Lauwagie didn't get many bites but the ones they did get were the right ones. The weighed in 3 fish for 13.90 lbs. Great job boys. They won stage 8 on Lake Ballantyne and the 75 points for first place in the team of the year standings, They also received $25 gift cards to Scheels! A fun night was had by all. Thanks to GPC of Mankato for helping us provide Pepsi products for the teams afterwards and to all of our sponsors for making this such a great season so far.

Stage 7 of the 2026 Lake Crystal Bass Basher Tournament Series has come and gone. This tournament found us out on Shields Lake near Faribault for one of our Conference Open Tournaments. Shields can have some nice fish but it can also be a tough fishery as well. I thought all of our teams showed out pretty well. Carter Wiederhoeft and Archer Richter were the Best Bass Basher team and finished 7th overall with 13.56 lbs. They will receive the 100 points in the tournament series standings as well as Scheels gift cards. Asher Ramerth and Xavier Lauwagie were one spot behind them with an 8th place finish and 13.22 lbs. Take a look at the updated standings as well as how all the boys finished up at the tournament. Thanks to all who sent me photos as well.

Another great night on the water last night with the Lake Crystal Bass Bashers. The weather got a little sketchy at times but it moved through fast enough for us to get Stage #6 on the Tetonka Chain in the books. This lake has been pressured but the boys were still able to put them in the boat. Micah Helleksen carried his team to victory as his angling partner, Carson Swalve was not able to be there. This is the 2nd career win for Helleksen and Swalve and the first of 2026. Great job! Check out the photos below from Tetonka and the updated 2026 Bass Basher Tournament Series presented by Mankato Scheels! Also, thank you to GPC for providing Pepsi products for the boys! We have such amanzing sponsors of our team!

The 2026 Bass Basher Tournament Series has completed stage 5 of the season. Last night the boys were getting after it on Big Jeff, Swedes, and Middle Jeff. Mason Linde and Carson Weinandt took home a 1st place win with a nice bag of 3 Bass. Our Big 3 Events consist of each boat fishing for 3 hours and weighing in their biggest 3 bass. The weather was great and fun was had by all. The biggest thing is that all of these anglers continue to spend time on the water, getting better and learning with each cast they make! Check out some pictures from last night as well as the updated Team of the Year standings.

It's a great experience for young anglers who are thinking about competitive fishing. Lake Crystal Bass Basher teams will fish against other squads like Tri-City, Scott West, WEM, and St. Peter. Micah Helleksen and Carson Swalve are pictured below. This tournament will start their 2nd year as High School Bass anglers. Good Luck Boys!
