Agam is my inspiration.

On Monday morning, two days before Independence Day, artist Yaacov Agam — a pioneer of kinetic art who is known for his vibrant, abstract geometric shapes — entered the museum that bears his name.

Small, bearded, and wearing a colorful, graphic crocheted beanie that echoed the vivid artworks in the room, Agam had arrived together with his family to receive the 2026 Israel Prize for Visual Arts.

The award is usually presented at the national Independence Day ceremony, which will take place on Wednesday. However, the renowned artist will turn 98 in three weeks and is confined to a wheelchair. Unable to travel to Jerusalem to receive the award, a personalized ceremony was held in the Agam Museum in Rishon Lezion.

I made this tallit. Prayer shawl. It is a project for Religious School for bar-mitzvah kids to enjoy learning about the prayer shawl.

This is why I brought it to Auschwitz:
At the Jewish Museum in Athen’s, Greece. I saw a blouse hand knitted with words around. It is a yellow blouse. The Holocaust survivor that knitted it stated that it was a PTSD proyect for her mental health clarity after the Holocaust.

The tzizit or corners are to remind us of the commandements. What we are meant to do.
I teach the kids how to do the knots.

I brought it to give me comfort. To remind me to live Judaism in colors.
The joy of being Jewish.

In Mexico women are still not able to wear a tallit so this is very important to me to be able to wear one. To make my daughters proud of being able to wear one and be able to learn the same things as a man.
