August marked our first Drill of the Month for NVFAC Member Range Time. This optional drill provides attendees with guided challenges to test their skill. Targets are provided.

We started simple with the 5x5 as popularized by Claude Werner. Five rounds, at five yards, in five seconds into a five inch circle. Repeat for a total of five iterations to show consistency.
Seems simple enough, but some found it to be surprisingly challenging to combine time and accuracy standards.

A few attendees seemed very happy with the 5x5, and commented that they'll be adding it to their own practice sessions.
For an added challenge, Dan, our Southern Area Division Coordinator, ran this from Strong Hand Only, Weak Hand Only, and from Mirror Image with both his J-Frame and full size automatic.

Our next Member Range Time is on 11 September.
We'll have a new Drill of the Month ready for our attendees!

Visited 2nd Amendment in Pahrump today then hopped across the street for brunch at Mom's Diner.

Glad to finally drop in to support the 2A community in Nye County.
Next time I'll have to check out the indoor range to save me from the heat!

Last night was our August Member Range Time.
Despite the wind, we enjoyed fairly good weather throughout the evening.

Our next event will be 11 September.

Tonight is our monthly range time for NVFAC members!

The line goes hot shortly after 6PM.

As a reminder, the August Member Range Time will occur this Friday at the Clark County Rifle and Pistol Center. We go live at 6PM!

Attendees enjoyed some of the best weather I've seen all summer with relatively cool temperatures, a gentle breeze, and a reprieve from the harsh sun.

Our next Member range time will be on August 17th, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Tonight is July's monthly range time for NVFAC members.

We begin at 6pm at the Education Center of the Clark County range complex.
