I used to think my knees needed knee sleeves too.
What they actually needed was more strength.
More controlled knee flexion.
More knees-over-toes training.
More full-range-of-motion reps.
More direct work for my quads and VMO.
“But I have bad knees.”
“I’ve had a knee injury.”
That’s even more reason to properly rehab and strengthen them with movements you can safely progress.
If you constantly avoid knee flexion and rely on sleeves every time you train, you may be putting a Band-Aid over the weakness instead of fixing it.
The goal shouldn’t be to protect your knee from doing anything.
The goal should be to gradually rebuild its strength, tolerance and confidence until it can handle load.
Knee sleeves aren’t bad. I’m not saying you can never use them.
But don’t let support become a crutch that replaces actually strengthening your knees.
I haven’t used knee sleeves in a long time and my knees feel healthier and stronger than ever even with all my running.
Tell me I’m wrong 😅

Changed it up today.
5K on the treadmill felt like 42K 😅 It was a nice change up though. HR stayed super low and controlled. I was also able lock in my form even more.
