Remembering Two Legends đď¸
Thea White and Arthur Anderson, who have now both passed away, were the voices behind one of the most unforgettable couples in animation, Muriel and Eustace from Courage the Cowardly Dog. On this day, we remember the people who gave life to a home that shaped so many childhoods.
Muriel Bagge (Thea White)
The heart of the show. Kind, gentle, and endlessly loving, Muriel was Courageâs safe place in a world full of fear. Her warmth and compassion reminded us that even in the strangest and darkest moments, kindness could always shine through.
Eustace Bagge (Arthur Anderson)
Gruff, stubborn, and often the source of chaos, Eustace brought humor and tension that made every episode unforgettable. Beneath his rough exterior, he became an essential part of the strange, chaotic family we grew to love.
Together, they helped create Courage the Cowardly Dog, a show that wasnât just about monsters and fear, but about love, loneliness, and bravery. It taught an entire generation that courage isnât the absence of fear, itâs choosing to protect the ones you love despite it.
Now, with both voices gone⌠it feels like Courage has truly been left all alone in the middle of Nowhere. đ˘
On this day, we honor them, appreciate them, and remember the voices behind so many memories.
Rest in Peace đď¸

Today we celebrate the 78th birthday of Stephen Schwartz, one of the most influential composers and lyricists in musical theatre and film. Born March 6, 1948, in New York City, Schwartz has spent more than five decades creating unforgettable music for Broadway and film, including several beloved songs for Disney animated classics.
Schwartz is especially known for his collaborations with composer Alan Menken. Together they created music for Disney films such as Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Enchanted. For Pocahontas, Schwartz wrote the lyrics to several memorable songs including the iconic Colors of the Wind and âJust Around the Riverbend.â âColors of the Windâ became one of Disneyâs most celebrated songs, winning the Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Grammy Award for Best Original Song.
His work continued with The Hunchback of Notre Dame, where he wrote the lyrics for emotionally powerful songs such as âGod Help the Outcasts,â âOut There,â and the dramatic villain anthem âHellfire.â These songs helped give the film one of the most ambitious musical scores in Disney animation history.
Beyond theatrical films, Schwartz also contributed to Disney television and family entertainment. He wrote the music and lyrics for the 2000 television musical Geppetto and composed the theme song for the childrenâs series Johnny and the Sprites, introducing his music to younger audiences.
Outside of Disney, Schwartz is a giant of Broadway. His stage musicals include Godspell, Pippin, and the global phenomenon Wicked. Wicked, which tells the untold story of the witches from The Wizard of Oz, became one of the most successful musicals in Broadway history and continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
Throughout his career, Schwartz has received numerous honors, including three Academy Awards, multiple Grammy Awards, and a Golden Globe, recognizing the lasting influence of his work in both theatre and film.
As Stephen Schwartz celebrates his 78th birthday, his music continues to inspire audiences around the world. From Disney classics like Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame to Broadway hits like Wicked, his songs remain timeless examples of storytelling through music.

POV: itâs 1995 and you just popped The Goofy Movie VHS inâŚ
The absolute banger âDr. Looneyâs Remedyâ starts playing after the rest of the coming attractions⌠an unexpected surprise, but youâre LOCKED IN.
If youâre watching it with siblings or friends, youâre probably fighting over âwho you would beâ or what character you wanted⌠âIâm her!â âNO, IM HERâ arguments would ensue that sometimes even turned into brawls.
You enjoy every minute of that VHS and proceed to rewind and replay it probably over 100 times in the up coming months. Referencing the âleaning tower of Cheeze-aâ at any moment you can for a laugh. Singing every lyric of every song from the movie because they were too iconic not to.
we didnât have streaming, we didnât even have DVDs yet, we didnât have the world at our fingertips with the touch of a button⌠but also, maybe we did and didnât realize it at the time. đĽš
