I’m honored to be part of this collaboration with Mindful Yoga and to share more about how yoga can help us move through life with greater awareness, steadiness, and compassion.

Through gentle yoga, breathwork, reflection, and conversation, we’ll explore how slowing down, reconnecting with the body, and creating space for awareness can support the recovery process—whatever recovery looks like for you.

This series is donation-based, open to all, and no prior yoga experience, faith affiliation, or recovery background is required.

**THE URBAN WELL STUDIO AT SAINT JAMES**
**Tuesdays in September 15, 22 & 29 | 5:30 - 6:45 PM**
**Yoga, the twelve steps, and a path for everyone to explore
healing and renewal in our daily lives.**

Led by Sarah Shelton, Urban Well Yoga Studio Coordinator, and
The Reverend Stacey Carpenter, Associate Rector at Saint James

The Practice of Recovery: Yoga, the 12 Steps and a Path for All is a three-week series exploring recovery, healing, and embodied practice in everyday life. This series is rooted in the wisdom of the 12 Steps, something that the co-founders of Alcoholics Anonymous believed everyone could benefit from.

Recovery is not limited to one experience or one path. Many of us are recovering from something—alcohol or substance use, codependency, grief, stress, burnout, perfectionism, anxiety, illness, major life transitions, old patterns, or the places where we have felt disconnected from ourselves, others, our bodies, or a sense of meaning.

Through gentle yoga, reflection, breath, and conversation, this series offers a welcoming space to explore what it means to pause, listen inward, and take the next step toward wholeness. No prior yoga experience, faith affiliation, or recovery background is required. This series is donation-based and open to all.

What if pelvic health was about more than strengthening your pelvic floor?

Join us for an evening dedicated to understanding, relaxing, and reconnecting with an often-overlooked part of the body.

Dr. Nicolette Simon, PT, DPT, of Inner Synk Health Coaching, will guide us through pelvic health education, including why constant tightening and strengthening isn't always the answer. We'll explore the connection between the pelvic floor, breath, and nervous system, followed by a gentle yoga practice with Sarah Shelton designed to help put those concepts into practice.

This workshop is for all ages and stages of life —no previous yoga experience needed.

Space is limited. Register at HoldingSpaceYoga.com

Every month looks a little different, and that's one of my favorite parts of teaching.

This month, I'll be practicing with students in the studio, outdoors, at Nissley Vineyards, and alongside Nicolette Simon for our Pelvic Health Workshop. No matter where you join me, my hope is that you leave feeling stronger, calmer, and more connected than when you arrived.
