🏁 2026 SEASON & US OPEN RECAP — AQUINO MOTORSPORTS 🏁

Unfortunately even though we came away with a heat win, the US Open ended the same way Friday did for us. We fought an overheating issue that we just couldn’t get figured out. The team busted their asses getting the car ready after Friday night, but sometimes you just can’t find that damn gremlin. 😂

As frustrating as the end of the season was, when I look back at the year as a whole, I couldn’t be more proud of what this team accomplished.

A bunch of heat wins, Our first trip to the tech barn… followed by 3 straight weeks of solid finishes… and finishing 3rd in Lancaster points and 5th in the ROC Series. That’s something this group should be damn proud of. 🏆

But the results are only a small part of what made this season special.

To my wife Kaleigh and my daughter Haley — thank you for putting up with all the late nights, weekends at the track, racing expenses, stress, and everything else that comes with this crazy sport. Your support means more to me than I can put into words. I truly couldn’t do this without you two. ❤️

And to my crew — Anthony K, Josh K, Josh B, Troy, James, and the Gates Family— thank you guys for busting your asses all year. Through the good nights, the bad nights, the wrecks, the repairs, the late nights and everything in between, you guys were there. I appreciate every damn one of you.

A huge thank you to Scott Wylie and Jason Deiter for everything you’ve done for our team this year. The progress our crew made this season was huge, and having you guys behind the scenes played a big part in that.

Another big shoutout to Kalie Carbone and Chelsea Place for all the work you put into the BRK Memorial Race. It’s pretty damn cool having people who genuinely care about the drivers and teams and go the extra mile to put some bonus money in our pockets. And of course, Hot Laps and Hot takes has been awesome — giving the fans and teams a different look into what goes on at the track.

And honestly, some of my favorite memories from this season had nothing to do with the checkered flag. Hanging out, camping, partying in the pits, meeting new people, making new friends and laughing our asses off after the races — that’s what makes this sport so much more than just racing.

Thank you to every sponsor, supporter, friend, family member and fan who helped make this season possible. We appreciate every bit of it.

The car needs some love, the shop needs some cleaning, and the bank account probably needs a little recovery 😂… but for now, we’re going to take a breath, enjoy what we accomplished, and see what the future holds for Aquino Motorsports.

Carlson Race Recap..

Welp car was back to being bad fast and we thought we had something for the front runners.. started off 8th and worked our way up to 3rd and was kind of riding around until the closing laps.. then the car snapped loose on me and was breaking up. Overheated engine and blew water all over the place ending our night.. but felt good to have the car back towards the front.. see if we can get it figured out for the BRK memorial race tomorrow.. if not thats a wrap on the season for us.. Thanks to My crew for giving me the best car for what they have to work with.. they are the best.. Also Thanks to my sponsors for making this all possible..

Lake Erie Recap.

We got the car back Together in time to make it to Lake Erie for the Saturday race.. Of course rain would be an issue again and there was only one practice no heats. We went out for practice and car wouldn’t stay in first gear and we had no brakes.. so we didn’t even get one lap of practice unfortunately.. Came off fixed the issue with the shifter linkage and brakes.. Drew 11th out of 14 cars.. but dropped to the rear without having much practice and not knowing what it would do.. first few laps we just rode around to see if car was good.. still had no brakes but it was definitely in first so I picked up my pace.. we started picking up spots heading to the front.. before the 10 lap mark we were passing for 3rd when the car just snapped loose on me.. went pitside and everything seemed ok. Went back out and a bad vibration and it just kept getting worse and we pulled off.. hoping we can get all the stuff figured out and see everyone Friday at Lancaster.. Thanks Again to all my crew and family for all they do, My sponsors as well for making this all possible..

Big shoutout to the Race of Champions Series and everyone putting in the work at Lake Erie Speedway this weekend! 🏁🔥
Having all these great classes—from the Modifieds, Sportsman, and Late Models to the Super Stocks, Street Stocks, 4-Cylinders, and TQ Midgets—all sharing the same stage makes for an absolute killer weekend of short-track racing.
As a driver, there’s nothing better than being able to load up the Street Stock and haul to different tracks to test yourself against top-notch competition. ROC gives us drivers a place to race, a fair field to run in, and a chance to do what we love at top-tier facilities.
Huge thank you to Joe Skotnicki, the ROC staff, the officials, and the Lake Erie Speedway crew for keeping grassroots racing alive and thriving in our community. It takes a massive effort behind the scenes to pull off events like this, and as drivers and fans, we truly appreciate everything you do for us!
