Colorado Peaches Softball

How much fun was that?!? What they were celebrating is...after waiting around all day to begin play at 3:15, the coin flip🪙for our game started it – somehow, we managed to be visitors every single game of the tourney. Bat first - score first, and we did, scoring a run in the top of the 1st inning. 1️⃣ We played a strong game and a hit in the top of the open inning by player of the game Val drove in our last run. 🏃‍♂️ We headed into the bottom of the open inning up 10-3, but those Sugar Beats got on a roll. Eventually it was 10-9 with the two outs and the tying run on first, but the Peaches held when pitcher DJ scooped up the grounder and took it herself to first to beat the runner and end the game. Whew!!! 😅
Next game starts - right now! Peaches scored three in the 1st, and at the end of the 2nd it was 3-0 with the Peaches holding our opponent scoreless for the first two innings. The Peaches had a 5 run third 5️⃣👏 and the inning ended with the score 8-3. The Peaches had another 5 run inning in the 4th but so did our opponent. ⚖️ The Peaches did not score in the top of open inning. Heading into the bottom of the open inning the score was 13-8, and Kolette was in the pitching box, having relived DJ in the bottom of the 3rd, after she dinged her leg running the bases. The first batter hit the ball solidly. Jinna, playing second, moved to intercept the ball's trajectory. She made an acrobatic play🤸, steadied herself and threw to Carolyn at first - out number one. The next three batters scored - making it 13-11. Kolette induced a pop-up to herself for the second out. Now with runners on first and third, it was a roller to third. Judy scooped it, used her solid footwork and threw...right on target to Jinna covering second. AND...the runner was OUT! That's all she wrote. Game over. Big cheers for Kolette who was named player of the game. 👏👍😄
Well, it wasn't quite all she wrote...had to send that text to the pet sitter. See some players were only planning to play on Saturday, but if it worked for the pet sitter...send the text...yea everyone can play on Sunday! Now that's even more to celebrate!!🏅

Peach Bowl June 2026. We had some very special guests from the Arapahoe Warriors softball team.

The Colorado Peaches took the field, and the Tarts, Salsas, Jams, and Schnapps brought the fun from first pitch to the final out. Every Peach was a winner. 💜

Another great opportunity to earn some money for the Peaches

What an AMAZING tournament at the Wyoming Senior Olympics in Cheyenne. We are so proud of our Peachs and the continued improvements that we show in our play.

The 65+ team earned a gold and the 75+ received silver.

Special shout out to Coach Heidi and Cathy for all of your dedication, it is not a simple task to make rosters and keep everything organized.
