GSC wrap up in Jackson
June 21, 2026
Georgia State Championship series #5 – Dauset Trails – Jackson, Ga
https://goneriding.com/gsc-f-2/

Awesome finish to a another great season, the final this year was back at Dauset trails after a year of recovery from the terrible storm that hit the park last year. A hugh financial investment was committed to not just rebuilding the trails but also adding on new trails along with an integrated hub system that makes future race layouts much more flexible and safer. Many thanks to all those who made this possible as the park can now boast just shy of 50 miles of rock-em-sock-em mtb trails!

There were threats of rain all weekend but except for a small shower Saturday night nothing came and the course was in great shape on both days. Race action began on Saturday with the second series individual time trial with each rider clocked vs one lap of the 7.5 mile course. Dustin White emerged the men’s overall winner with a 16.5 mph average and Ryann Slechta logging an impressive 33:48:75 time.

Sunday the kids hit the trail first at 8:30am followed by the yellow wave advanced classes at 9:30am and then of course the final white wave at 11:30am, the day would also be the final of the series and that meant the overall series awards ceremony at this very picturesque site. The days top rider this time would be Tanner Dorshimer with a time of 1:57:21 covering 30 miles and Ryann Slechta would repeat her strong riding weekend by claiming the top female overall spot.

As mentioned the series awards ceremony was held following the regular race schedule and ton’s of prizes and plaques were handed out to the eligible top three in each class, many thanks to all of the riders, support folks, sponsors, volunteers and trail management teams that made the series a success in it’s 20th anniversary edition!

GSC pulls into Chattanooga
June 14, 2026
Georgia State Championship series #4 – Enterprise South Nature Trails – Chattanooga, Tn
https://goneriding.com/gsc-e/

Just one more weekend of racing left to go after the fourth round of the series that took place in Chattanooga. The ESN park is a favorite on the circuit and for good reason, a fast flowing trail that has plenty of up hills and down hills but combines just the right amount of recovery in between making for what I describe as a “hero” trail because it makes you feel like you have put in lot’s of good effort and had fun but you don’t feel wiped out. The loop uses the “Black Mountain” trail and the “TNT” trail and is on the long side at 8.2 miles per lap and as always the Chattanooga SORBA club had whole place rocking with their amazing trail work.

Asher Boegner was the fastest of the day claiming a 15.4mph average over 32.8 miles and Hailey Nelson was the overall female winner.

As a note, if you were in attendance at this event SORBA Chattanooga has asked you fill out this econmonic impact survey… https://utk.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_24W4kCP8Jnebde6

Final round of the series is in Jackson, Georgia at the newly refurbished Dauset trails, look for a new layout and an awesome race weekend, 6-20/21-2026!

FLE Wraps up at San Felasco

Florida Endurance series final – San Felasco trailhead – Alachua, Fl

https://goneriding.com/fle-d/
What was a very comfortable week of weather in the area turned a little more towards the feel of summer with temperatures in the 90’s and humidity returning for the weekend but overall not bad for this time of year. The trails were on the dry side but in good shape overall and the 10.45 mile course handed the racers plenty of challenges as always especially the seemingly relentless series of climbs. The Friends of San Felasco club was on top things as usual with course prep, course marshalling and clean up, many thanks to the crew!

The long distance marathon racers got started first with a mass start and faced six laps of the 10 plus mile loop and laps times were impressive with overall winner Ryan Miller turning a 37:59:47 minute time on his first lap and maintaining a 15.5 mph average over the 62.7 mile race. In the women’s marathon Maria Ledesma grabbed a close win (less than a minute) after a long duel with Morgan Sparks. In the Sprint classes (three laps) it was Justin Gore claiming the overall win and Pauline Dockins taking the women’s overall.

Many thanks to all of the sponsors, volunteers from the clubs and of course the racers for making the series a success!

Ripping laps at Conyers
May 31, 2026
Georgia State Championship series #3 – GIHP Trails – Conyers, Ga

https://goneriding.com/gsc-b/

Dodgie weather but it turned out perfect for the third round of the GSC series at Conyers, although we did get some rain on Friday the wet stuff held off the rest of the weekend and the racers were treated to great course conditions and a bit of an unexpected cool off to boot, as temperatures dropped into the lower seventies for most of the day.

The 7.1 mile course is always a fun and fast jaunt through the woods but it does provide a couple of climbs that will get your attention and this year was no different. Tanner Dorshimer took the overall honors with his win in the men’s cat 1 class and averaged 14.6 mph in the process of racing four laps. Top female on the day was Ryann Slechta on her way to the win in the women’s junior cat 1/2.

Many thanks to all of the sponsors, racers and support folks, round four heads to Chattanooga on 6-14-26!
