Huge thank you to Shane Arthurs for investing his time and knowledge into our pitchers. Shane was a 1st round draft pick out of high school, selected by the Montreal Expos at just 17 years old! Oklahoma State was waiting on him, and he chose to sign and chase it professionally instead, he then spent a decade in professional baseball!! Such a cool experience for these young Bears. The knowledge, the stories, and just being around a former pro means more to our boys than he knows. They got to learn all kinds of new tools on the mound, pick his brain, and walk away with autographed baseballs, caps, and keepsakes they will hang onto for a long time!!! Memories and experiences exactly like this is what it’s all about, stories about him will no doubt be told for years to come!! Shane’s gesture means the world to our boys, and our organization is so thankful! So thankful Shane, thank you sir for showing up for our bears! No doubt a memory for a lifetime!!
