🤍 This year, anyone who has a baby in heaven is invited to write the baby’s name, birthday, a message, or anything else that is meaningful, on a cutout butterfly and pin it to the board.

This could be your own baby, your grandbaby, niece or nephew, your friend’s baby. Even if they already have a butterfly on the board, add another. There is no such thing as too many people who love a single baby.

If the baby you are honoring was lost before you had a chance to name him or her, any nickname you referred to him or her as, Baby (last name), or simply an important date is appropriate. These babies still matter and deserve to be remembered.

🦋 The butterfly you make is your’s to take home so don’t forget to grab it before you leave!

Can’t make it but still want your baby on the board, message us and we will gladly make you a butterfly however you tell us and send it to you after the race.

Many people who have experienced loss have a sign or symbol of something reminds them of their baby or makes them feel like their loved one is near.

A few weeks ago I spent some time with one of my crafty nieces who helped paint rocks for Jack’s Jog. These rocks will be placed along the trail.

As you walk or run, if you see one that reminds you of your baby, your grandbaby, or any baby who is special to you, pick it up. It’s your’s to keep.

When we get messages like these, my heart hurts for the family. But I know what we’re doing is so important and so needed.

Jamie Pronschinske, MSN, RN, and her family have started a 5k run/walk called Jack's Jog in memory of Jamie's baby who was stillborn in May 2020. After last year's event, Jamie worked with the team at Emplify Health by Gundersen and used some of the funds to present a gift to support perinatal bereavement at the hospital. Thank you so much, Jamie and family, for thinking of local patients with this gift!

We recently visited Emplify Health System in La Crosse with donations from Jack’s Jog. We donated sun catchers to be used as keepsakes for families to remember their babies, as well as books for bereaved parents and siblings of the sweet souls who are taken too soon.

The same donations were also made to MCHS La Crosse, where Jack was born.

While nothing ever seems like enough, our hope is that these things offer a tiny bit of comfort to families going through the unimaginable. We also hope that through these donations, parents and families know they’re not alone in their journey.

❤️ 1 in 4 women will experience some type of pregnancy or infant loss

Chances are, you have a friend, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother etc who falls into one of these categories.

Let them share their stories with you.
Ask about their babies.
Let them know you remember there’s a little life that’s supposed to be here.

Say their names.

💥NEW for 2026!💥

Since Jack’s Jog is an evening event, right around supper time, we know people need to eat! Last year, we LOVED how so many people hung around afterwards the run/walk to chat and just be together.

So, thanks to a donation from Jack’s Mamaw and Papa, we will be offering a hot dog meal to all registered participants this year! Think good hot dogs with all the fixings along with a bag of chips.

We will still have bananas and cookies on hand as well.

Feel free to bring a picnic blanket or chairs and enjoy some friendly company before and after the race!
