FluxJet Kayaks

They had to make a small adjustment to the bunks to get the fit where they wanted it, and that brings up a good question for everyone else transporting a kayak on a trailer:

What trailer are you using?

Brand and model if you know it.

Did you have to adjust the bunks?

Add spacers?

Change the width?

Add guides or extra straps?

Anything you would do differently if you were setting it up again?

There are a lot of owners still figuring out how they want to transport their FluxJet, so real-world tips like this can save someone a lot of trial and error.

Yes, people have been waiting, and we know that wait has felt long for a lot of customers.

Time to get it rigged, get comfortable with the controls, and get it on the water

This is exactly why the owner community matters.

Thanks to David C Rogers for sharing his first-trip feedback and being specific about what felt off.

He noticed the steering felt stiff and jerky, enough that he stopped and asked the group instead of just forcing it.

And almost immediately, other owners jumped in with suggestions based on what had worked for them.

That is the kind of feedback loop we want to keep building.

If something on your FluxJet feels a little off, do not guess and do not force it.

Ask the community.

Reach out to the factory.

Send photos or video.

Sometimes the answer may be simple. Sometimes it may need a closer look from the team. Either way, sharing what you are seeing helps everyone learn faster.

Another maiden voyage in the books.

What we really liked about his post is that he didn't wait until every part of the setup was finished.

He wanted to get on the water, learn the kayak, and see how it actually handled first.

That is exactly what we recommend.

Get comfortable with the throttle.

Learn the foot steering.

See how the kayak sits with your weight and gear.

Then start deciding what you want to add.

Ricky also mentioned cruising over lily pads and weeds, which is pretty fitting considering how many questions we get about vegetation.

How many of you fish or just cruise after dark?

One feature we wanted to include from the start was built-in navigation lighting. The lights are already installed and wired into the kayak, so there is no separate nav-light kit to figure out before heading out.

For people who fish early mornings, stay out through sunset, or spend time on the water at night, that is a pretty nice feature to already have handled.

And David clearly is not afraid to put his FluxJet to use after dark. 😂

Thanks to Ed Peterson for sharing the pickup and letting everyone know the packaging arrived in great shape.

Our team puts a lot of time into protecting these kayaks before they leave, so it is always good to hear when one makes the trip exactly how we want it to.

That said, we still recommend every customer take a few minutes at pickup to inspect the entire kayak before leaving the freight location.

Check the top, bottom, sides, handles, and any removable pieces.

Then get it home and start figuring out the fun part.

Battery. Accessories. First launch.
