Welcome to the Kentfield Girls Softball page. We are a non-profit, recreational, youth organization affiliated with the Marin Girls Softball League.
We are a non-profit organization run by a large group of parents in Kentfield, Greenbrae, Ross and North Larkspur, California. Our volunteer coaches are mothers and fathers of our players, and are certified, with background-check, by the Amateur Softball Association of America. We are proud to continue a tradition of over twenty years of girls softball in our community. Kentfield Girls Softball is
part of the wider Marin Girls Softball League, a volunteer-driven recreational league for youth fast-pitch softball in Marin County, California. We are a recreational program: any child between the ages of 5 to 15 years old can register and all registered kids play. We have financial options available for those unable to afford part or all of the registration fees. Registration for the 2017 Season will be held November 1, 2016 through December 15, 2016. Goals for our players include:
- Have fun
- Learn to play fast-pitch softball
- Develop friendships through teamwork
- Honor the game, the officials, the volunteers, teammates and opponents through good sportsmanship and fair play. Players are divided into five divisions, including 6 and under, 8 and under, 10 and under, 12 and under and 15 and under (high schoolers only if not playing on a high school team).
6-U: 5 & 6 year olds of Jan 1 of season calendar year
8-U: 7 & 8 year olds as of Jan 1 of season calendar year
10-U: 9 & 10 year olds as of Jan 1 of season calendar year
12-U: 11 & 12 year olds as of Jan 1 of season calendar year
15-U: 13, 14 & 15 year olds as of Jan 1 of season calendar year (includes high school students who are not playing on a high school team)
