Unfortunately, we’ll also be canceling tonight’s Gospel Skate Night due to the extreme heat and heat advisory.

The safety and comfort of our skaters, families, and staff always come first. With temperatures remaining dangerously high well into the evening, we feel it’s the right decision to cancel tonight’s session rather than encourage unnecessary physical activity during these conditions.

We know this is disappointing, especially for those who look forward to Gospel Skate Night each month, and we truly appreciate your understanding. We hope everyone stays safe, stays cool, and takes this opportunity to beat the heat.

Our next Gospel Skate Night will be next month, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back then for a great evening of skating, music, and fellowship. Thank you for your patience, and we’ll see you at the rink soon! 🛼💙

Unfortunately, we’ll also be canceling Monday’s Homeschool Skate session due to the extreme heat.

We know many of our homeschool families look forward to this, and we hate having to make this call. Our goal is always to provide a fun and comfortable place to skate, and on days like this, our AC just can’t quite keep up.

The good news is that we’re hopeful temperatures will be back to normal by Tuesday, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone then for our Homeschool Skate session!

Due to the extreme heat advisory, Winnwood Skate Center will be closed today.

We’d rather close for a day than ask everyone to skate in what starts feeling a little too much like a sauna on wheels.

Roller skating is already a workout. Add triple digit heat, and suddenly nobody is having as much fun as they planned.

Thank you for understanding, and thank you to everyone who has been patient with our AC as it does its absolute best. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the floor as soon as the temperatures give us a break.

Yes, this includes Adult Night. We know everyone looks forward to it, but we’ll be back on Tuesday night and can’t wait to see you then.
