This is what’s happening in Indianapolis.
And it’s growing.
On a Friday morning, 20+ people showed up at the gym, not just to play basketball, but to build something bigger than the game.
We had Katelyn Munoz and the YPCI - Young Professionals of Central Indiana team on court with Indianapolis - The Pickup Project, sharing what they’re building across Indiana and connecting with the community in a real, active space.
Because something is becoming very clear:
People are choosing to show up in the same place, at the same time and it’s creating real momentum.
The conversation continues this Thursday at YPCI’s happy hour at Voodoo Brewing, another space where The Pickup Project and YPCI communities keep building what started on court, and finding more ways to connect and grow together.
If you’re in Indianapolis and want to be part of something like this, come through. Now is the time to be in the room!

And if you know someone who should see this or be part of communities like this, send it their way. They might be one connection away from exactly what they’ve been looking for.

Your network grows when you show up.
For Indianapolis player Joe Guida, The Pickup Project is more than just a place to play basketball. It's a place to expand your circle, build meaningful relationships, and connect with people who genuinely want to see each other succeed.
"It's a small world, and paths cross in crazy ways. This is a great way to expand your reach. It's the bond you build with the people in the organization and how they can support you."
Thank you, Joe, for being part of the Indy community and for reminding us that some of the best opportunities start with a simple conversation on the court.
Ready to grow your circle, get some exercise, and meet great people? Join Joe and the Indy crew every Friday!🏀🔥

At The Pickup Project, we structure each session around 4 timed games to create an organized, efficient, and enjoyable experience for everyone on the court.
Our format helps players maximize their playing time while balancing the demands of work, family, and life. While game participation may vary, most players will play 3 or more games per session.

Who you know matters.
But the best connections aren’t always made in boardrooms, networking events, or over coffee.
Sometimes, they’re built on the court. 🏀
That’s why Matthew Volk is helping bring The Pickup Project to New Jersey.
Every Friday, people from different industries, backgrounds, and experiences come together for one simple reason: to play the game they love. The result? Real relationships, meaningful conversations, and a community that extends far beyond basketball.
As Matthew puts it, The Pickup Project combines networking, community, and competition—creating opportunities to connect with like-minded people while staying active and having fun.
Build relationships.
Expand your network.
Stay active.
